I hope that talk of a Rigondeaux fight in Miami materializes. I would definitely be there.

He's going to end his career at 122. I think he can possibly get a title at 118 if he tries. He should just unify all the titles and just beast that division.

Mares is a guy who probably should be fighting at 130. He's a big guy.
off topic but if i hope you are not cuban...

      with that pic of che....

i hear that is a no no amongst cubans....

This. If Rigo is as good as people is, then he can afford to challenge himself, otherwise why even bother boxing? He'll beat everyone anyways. He's like a little Mayweather,he automatically beats boxer (B) because he beat boxer (A) who would beat boxer (B)

Real champions move up. Look at how many weight classes Floyd and Pac moved through. Rigo needs to find some heart and some balls if he wants to ever be considered as a potential ATG.

BS. If he can't put enough weight on why would he move up?

IDK, as said earlier, Rigo is one small, lean dude. One thing I know for sure, he's not scared of Mares. Probably just knows that moving up isn't realistic for a guy his size. Or beneficial. I mean who knows. But if he's not afraid to take on Donaire, logic tells you he'd fight Mares too, so long as they were in the same weight class.

And I'm not making excuses for Rigo -- I was rooting against him in the Donaire fight.

The problem is that just a day ago, he was putting out statements insinuating Mares was somehow afraid of him if he didn't "take the challenge" and what an empty one at that. Mares isn't scared of ****: win, lose or draw. Everyone should get that through their head.

the article didn't say anything about rigo mentioning mares. someone asked him a question about 126 and he replied he still stuffed his face and made 122 with ease.............thats spinned as "Rigondeaux Says No Intention of Pursuing Mares at 126"

when in realty rigo didn't say anything about mares in this interview.

if the fight is given to him you better believe rigo would accept a challenge to fight mares (and mares only) at 126. go up to 126 knock mares head off & go back down to 122.
