I thought Pacquiao is washed up, done as an elite? Who cares if he fights Brandon Rios? It's not as if Pacquiao's going to march back up to the top of the sport. He, like Floyd, is cashing out. His next fight (if he beats Rios) is the winner of Bradley vs Marquez. So we either have Bradley rematch or Marquez rematch for 2014. I'll catch either on a stream. Does it make me like Pac any less? Not anymore than me liking Floyd after fighting an overmatched Robert Guerrero.

      This is Boxing in 2013:

Floyd Mayweather vs (Insert Golden Boy Fighter here)

Manny Pacquiao vs (Insert Top Rank Fighter here)

Here's a good idea, just totally ignore Manny Pacquiao. Easier said than done I suppose.

i agree with your your post except where you say "rios is no joke." thats where you lose credibility, cause rios IS a joke. he is probably the biggest joke in all of boxing, bigger than JCC jr. rios is a tomato can - a flat footed, skill-less, craftless, BUM. with that said, the other part of your post is well written

Yet you criticize him for fighting Brandon Rios, a dude that can crack his chin? Asking me if hes more of a threat than Mile High is irrelevant because as I said HES OUT FOR THE REST OF THE YEAR. A source arguing this would also be appreciated. Besides what does it matter if Mike is more of a threat than Rios when I already said that he can be forgiven if he takes on even lesser opposition? You should be glad that he is fighting people on the level of Rios. ALso I dont understand your last sentence explain again pls.
BECAUSE THE ARGUEMENT IS ALVARADO DESERVES THE FIGHT, NOT RIOS. You're the thick-headed one. No, Mike Alvarado isn't out for the year, his ****ing manager was in the middle of negotiating this fight for SEPTEMBER. Do you not read the articles on the main page? This was recent as of LAST WEEK.

Rios is a good fighter but has no business fighting at 147.

Because Rios doesn't deserve the fight, Mike Alvarado does. That's the whole entire point of this thread, or did you not read the thread title? Not surprised

I'll wait until I hear it from Mike Alvarado himself. This is way too convenient, considering they were in negotiations last week to make the fight. Bob pulling those puppet strings
