Why are you bringing up Floyd Mayweather, who is "you guys"? Stop derailing the thread. I thought Guerrero was a live opponent for Floyd, but Floyd simply outclassed the dude in a bad way. One thing has nothing to do with the other. I find it hard to believe that Alvarado's FINGER injury was fine last week, but because he missed a rehab appointment, Arum determines he isn't ready? Not buying it, sorry!
This is why Alvarado didn't get Pacquiao

It will be Rios! Alvarado will be too slick for Pac. Why you think Pac's team is talking Rios. They even said Rios is still an option even thought he got schooled. Team Pac knows that Rios will bring the most money and be a safer then the Alvarado. That's why Rios name is being brought by team Pac. Pac "the noble champion" looking for the loser of the two because the loser brings more money and is safer then facing the champion that won bwhahahah....Manny is a complete fraud.
I called and saw this fight coming a mile away from the hype job. I even called the fight with Marquez4 and weight it was going to be before it was even made.

no dude, that same guy you're quoting has flip-flopped in this thread. one minute he says Rios is a tune-up fight and that's why they didn't pick Alvarado. and then later he says Rios is a tougher opponent than Alvarado.Comment

LOL I read the article and it does sound like ****ing Bob doing something behind the scenes again. Seriously I think he's not good for the sport. I used to think that maybe Golden Boy was worse back in the day, but now I see at least a glimmer of hope for GBP and not so much TR. I wouldn't be surprised if its all Arum propaganda but I know for certain that they have always wanted Pac-Rios from the very beginning and the Mile High win threw a spanner in the works. For now I'd say take what Bob says with a grain of salt...No, you're twisting the arguement around, deflecting it away from what a previous poster already stated. You can't have two people arguing for why Rios is a better alternative than Alvarado but have one person saying Rios is a tougher opponent for Pacquiao, and have the other person say Rios is a tune-up fight. Do you not understand this? Go back and read the entire arguement before posting your thoughts.
I'm not buying the Alvarado hand injury, so I'm not commenting on it more than I already have. Read the Denver Post news article I just linked. Something sounds fishy to me.
Regardless though, I stand by what I said and my opinion is my opinion and not anybody elses. I dont need to read the whole thread again because I was converisng with you alone. My last post summarises my argument. You should be thankful that Pac's fighting Rios level opposition. I would probably agree with you in that Rado should have gotten the shot but the hand injury thing and "not showing up for doctor appointments" clouds this thought. I wouldnt mind seeing Pac against either guy and frankly all I am saying is that fighting Rios should not be held against Pac.Comment

dude just STFU! ur not making sense anymorewhy are you mentioning the marquez fight, which has nothing to do with Pacquiao fighting a guy coming off a loss.
are you saying Alvarado is more of a threat than Rios?
First you say both guys are the same, but when I call you out on that, you say Pacquiao just came off being KTFO, so he should fight Rios?
dude I'm schooling the **** out of youComment

Can't complain with this fight. Not going to watch a masterpiece but just the kind of fight you know if you buy a ticket your probably going to get your moneys worth. My first impression of a fight is what I usually go with when making a prediction since the hype before the fight does tend to change peoples minds. But this doesnt seem like an easy fight. Pac is clearly not the same guy and rios is a bigger guy than both bradley and marquez in terms of proportion and weight, and with the added 7 pounds heredia will have more to work with to build rios up.Comment

if mike's hand injury is somehow worse than it was last week (doubtful, but for the sake of arguement), then I have no problem with them going with Rios
I just think it's all bogus, and that Rios presents less of a problem for Manny, he's tailor made (this is going to be worse than Margarito, Rios is smaller than Tony)
and this is on PPV, this should be on HBO BoxingAfterDarkComment
