Why isn't he catching any heat for not doing that? People always want to criticize Floyd and nobody else. There are several good fights for him at 147,but people won't be happy unless he fights a Klitchko.

He is however the #1 ranked guy at 154 and Canelo is #2. You all act like he has never fought at that weight class.
Also using Floyd's logic he should fight canelo. He justified the JMM fight by saying Marquez called him out. What's different than Canelo calling him out? He justified the the Ghost fight by saying he was just fighting his mandatory at 147. Well, as of last weekend Canelo is now his mandatory.
And yes, when multiple people have confirmed that Floyd's people gave Canelo's a verbal agreement that they would fight and even went as far as to talk contract parameters but then back out once it comes to sign, then it is a duck in my book.
Like I said if Floyd takes the fight like he said he would he deserves major credit. But until then he is seen doing the same old thing, cherrypicking the easy fights (Ortiz, Ghost, Baldomir) in lieu of bigger challanges (Pacquiao, Canelo, prime Cotto, Margacheato.)

You sir clearly do not have a negatively bias opinion towards Floyd.
I think we all know Floyd is no jr MW. He has fought at that weight twice and was clearly outweighed by his opponents and he didn't look all that great. He is a legit WW. And the best WW in the game. The fights that we all want to see him fight unfortunatly will never happen because of the fued that Arum has with anyone who is not affiliated with top rank. If Canelo continues in the direction that he's going in, it will just be a matter of time before people start saying he's ducking top rank fighters, when the fact is that he'll never fight a top rank guy because he's with GBP.

People are tossing out various arguments with no context whatsoever behind them. They'll argue about weight, catch-weights, etc. and act is if Floyd is somehow immune from any of those things. Did he not come in over the limit against Marquez, which was Marquez first fight at that weight? That was fair? They want to argue over who brings what to the table etc. Canelo is 22 and someday, if keeps on winning, will be a huge PPV draw, but at 22 is far ahead of where Mayweather was at a comparable age. I think Floyd beats the socks off the kid, but I'd still like to see the guy get a shot. Oscar gave Floyd the chance, why can't he return the favor and do the same for Canelo?
