In this case is Robinson just much too big+skilled for Pea to be effective at all?
theatre size disparity would make pea that much harder to hit IMO. he was able to easily duck and get down low vs guys his own height, against a fighter 4 inches taller, he'd have a fun doing it.

            Facts:

Robinson fought a total of 16 15-round fights, out of 198 total fights.

Fought 10 rounds with LaMotta in his loss to him, fought to a 10 round Draw against Henry Brimm, 10 round Draw to Jose Basora.

ALL of his fights against LaMotta were 10 rounders, excluding one, which was a whopping 12 rounds. The Armstrong fight was 10 rounds.

Robinson didn't fight in his first 15 round fight until his 75th pro fight [rightfully so, since only title fights were 15 rounds and that was his first title fight].

Robinson a "big welter": Robinson was 157lbs in his fight against Joey Maxim for the World Light Heavyweight title.

Robinson did not fight 15 rounds for his non-title fights [Again, rightfully so], leading to the majority of his career being 10 round fights. Now a days even in non-title fights, we see 12 rounders.

He's The GOAT, but stop overrating him. How can you overrate some one who is already the most highly rated? Stop that.

FLoyd cuts EVERYONEs work rate so you need to come with something better than that
prffft! First get your argument straight....You say that because Floyd does so much more than just avoid punches his defense is better than Peas? No make sense dude! And defense is avoiding punches last I checked.

Floyd has never been able to throw combos to the degree that many great fighters have been able to do....no knock on him I happen to think Floyd is great, but as a counter puncher he is only perhaps marginally better than Whitaker.

Anyhow you still have not even made a statement as to how Floyd is better than Whitaker defensively (see above) so I don't know how to respond other than to say that sometimes a fighter with one talent beats a better well rounded fighter.

edit. I don't want to minimize Floyd's counterpunching ability. He is a phenominal counter puncher.

Ray was a middle weight when he faught maxim,
And past his prime by far

A shell of himself how many rounds can mayweather or that list
Go with bernard. Hopkins or dawson for that matter ona hot summer day in NY

And leonard admitted on the arsenial hall show. That walker smith was too big and fast and could out match him on every category . Ray said the same thing walker smith said about ezzard charles, you guys wanna see me get beat up,he was too big and too good....

Same day weigh in vs friday way ins. Big difference
And no current fighter has faught a 15 round fight
