Also it's hard to judge marquez at 147 even when Floyd fought him. Look at his 147 opponent list... that alone there makes it hard to rate where he's at at 147. Even now the outcome with Floyd and Marquez will be the same, and he proved he belonged there when he should've gotten a close win over pac in their 3rd fight tbh.
Floyd fought twice at 154. So that means he can. That is like Manny fighting at 147 all those fights even though he came in below that often and fought guys that outweighed him by a substantial amount.

I guess we should be saluting Manny a lot more for his accomplishments because you and other Floyd fans in this and other threads are making excuse after excuse for not fighting a guy that is willing to come down from 160 to 154 and may come in weak/drained YET for Floyd and his fans, the issue will be for Floyd whose last fight was at 154!!!

So Floyd and his fans are proving that the Cotto fight was a cherry pick. The rest of us already new!

Well no Floyd fan COULD say a damn thing about it. But I sure could.

Different story, what it should read is this. What if he fought Taylor or Abrahm at 168 and won a title there, then didn't fight chad dawson or hopkins afterwards. Unless you're saying about trout and canelo...in which case... what if he fought bundrage at the time? or Ishe Smith now? Would you knock that fight?

          • The reasons he gives for not fighting people are so ****** sometimes. If you don't want to fight him at a weight where you fought as recently as a year ago, call a duck a duck and move on.

Cherry Pick? No... but not an amazing fight, just like it wasn't when Pac fought him. Also Floyd normally fights guys bigger than him, don't give me that only Pac does it thing. Why didn't Pac fight cotto at 154 then even after Cotto just lost to mayweather? I'll ask you that. He did afterall win a "belt" at 154.

              • What other fight would make sense right now? Pacquiao?

                • The flomo arguments, "floyd shouldnt fight Martinez or anyone at 154 cause he cant get no credit either way"

Who gives a fuck, are you a boxing fan and just want to see the fight or are you living vicariously through floyd, man you guys are by far the largest dumbest, female tendencies having demographic I have ever encountered.

floyd has a 154 title, PERIOD, Martinez is on that P4P short list just like Floyd, He says he can make the weight, that's it, thats all that matter and us as boxing fans is all we need to know.

We cant argue this and that, "oh floyd wont get no credit" who cares, some people will and some wont give floyd his creadit, just how it is, on the flip side you fools will say if he lost, "Martinez is too big Mayweather is a real JWW". who cares everyone gonna have something to say just depends on what side of that line in the sand you align your self with.

you have a 154 title defend it bitch, don't talk out your ass trying to justify why you such a pussy

All this talking is just talking, you aint a stand up comedian so shut your mouth and fight,

                  like daggum said

the BS can go on all day long, if you can defend floyd on not wanting to fight then your not a boxing fan just a groupie justifying your groupie love.

Manny said it while training for Margarito for a 150 limit fight, that he can't do 154 and will never go above 147 anymore. That is why.

According to Floyd Sr, Cotto was too big, too strong, too technical, too everything but at the end Manny won that fight!

Many of Floyd's WW opponents had just entered fresh out of a lower division.

Number of fights at WW before fighting Floyd:
                      - Marquez = 0
                      - Ortiz = 1
                      - Hatton = 1
                      - Sharmba = 1
                      - Guerrero = 2
