I find it amazing though, that guys would want the pampered spoon fed fighter to win. While wishing the destruction of the fighter that actually had to earn his shot. Shows how severely deluded the boxing fan has become, as far as I'm concerned.
The same way people can say Canelo is unproven when he is fighting Trout.

154 isn't as strong of a division as it's advertised, even if one had Lara beating Vanes, which is justifiable...was anyone impressed with Lara's performance, hasn't he also shown that he can't fight on the inside, especially against Molina. Is that tentative, mid range counter punching pleasing to watch, does he have the kind of style where one could confidently say he beats Canelo or Cotto, or most of all...that Canelo don't want it? Why do they paint Lara as some killer? I know I'm going off base here but it's hilarious to me.

Then you have Carlos Molina, he stands out somewhat, but how effective would his style be with a ref who's willing to enforce the rules. He leads with clinches, that to me is crazy.

You also have Kirkland and Angulo with the shit defense, and I've already brought up Rodriguez and Cotto's deficiencies at the weight. Canelo somehow didn't want none of these "suppose" killers, I don't understand fans. I'm glad for this Trout-Canelo fight, we're now gonna learn who's who at 154.

I think this is gonna be a fight of the year type of fight. I'm not sure what Lederman is sipping, but I think I need some.

I think Alvarez will butcher him. Trout is good (he beat my boy...) and i really like him, he has size, skill and quickness to go with his southpaw stance and undefeated record but Saul despite his cherry picking ways is a Beast. Thunderous puncher with an outstanding body attack, physical strength and patience beyond his years, guy is class. Too bad itys took this long for him to take a real fight....

This fight would be similar to Vasquez vs Gesta. Trout will run like hell. Hit, run, hold. We'll see how Canelo would handle a running man.

Bahaha you obviously don't know shet about Canelo. Spoon fed my arse, kid had to work to get where he is at.

As a guy posted earlier in this thread, "earlier in his career, before 90% of the people on here knew who he was, before Golden Boy was his promoter (I'm talking 4 years ago, or so)...He was only 18 years old then, and he was taking on the likes of Larry Mosley (former USA amateur standout), Cuello (a solid fighter who gave JCC Jr. hell), and Michel Rosado. And he beat them all. He actually beat Larry Mosley in the USA, too, not in Mexico!"

This is when I started following him as well. Sure he took some gimmie fights, who wouldn't? We all know he tried to take on Ortiz, Williams and Angulo - it didn't happen, so now he is taking on Trout. This even after his promoters begged him not to fight him. He knew it was the right thing to do and most dangerous fight he could of taken. And you say how can we support somebody like this? How can you not?

I don't know about that reasoning. I just want Canelo to win because he's a more interesting fighter to watch. It's that simple. Trout, to me, is boring to watch.

If Canelo isn't proven, then Trout isn't far behind. His best win is a past his prime Cotto, who let's be honest, isn't a natural 154lb fighter.

He isn't the same guy he was at 140 or 147.....

I think once Trout feels that power, he's hopping on that bike and he will run all night long.
