Trout is still unproven to me, his best wins are against Rodriguez a good but very one dimensional fighter, a fighter who has always struggled against movers, and Cotto who was physically inferior to the much bigger Trout. Even then Cotto gave a really good account of himself, enough to warrant a rematch regardless of the judges' scorecard. Miguel is stocky, but his height and reach were eventually gonna get exploited at 154.

Trout is a good boxer though, don't really know how good though. Canelo will test him, a good counter puncher, precise combination puncher with lots of power, we'll see. I like Canelo in this fight, really confident in that pick. I don't know about destroy though, don't think that'll happen.

The jury remains out on Canelo to at least the 20th.
i agree. and all alvarez has fought were welterweights so he had the edge. but trout is in his weight class so we'll see what happens.

Yup, Trout is unproven and canelo, well he's proven so much more. Lets talk about how he destroyed Mosley easier than Floyd and Pacman did. And did you see what he did to Cintron?? Margarito couldn't do it like dat bwoy. I agree, canelo is the proven of the 2, he has twice as much fights and ko's, really special guy right there, dat canelo.

I wonder what makes him feel this way? Canelo has faced WW after washed up WW and hasn't looked dominate. He looked good, but not special. He will have a lot of problems with Trout IMO.

He didn't say Canelo was a proven fighter. To be honest it is people like you that makes a part of me want fighters like Trout and Lara to lose.

To my content, both are unproven still, Trout holds some good victories though. I'm strictly going off of what either of them have shown me in the ring in terms of skills, I'm more impressed with Canelo to tell you the truth.

Very good points... I will say this, though, although Trout's biggest win was against a welterweight fighting at super-welterweight (Cotto), the victory is still impressive because he did it in Cotto's house with 17,000 people cheering against him. That's something that should not be overlooked. He also beat Delvin Rodriguez who is a very solid fighter (another welterweight fighting at super-welterweight but a solid fighter nonetheless)... As far as Alvarez is concerned, his opposition hasn't been the strongest as of late; however, earlier in his career, before 90% of the people on here knew who he was, before Golden Boy was his promoter (I'm talking 4 years ago, or so), I was already following his career. He was only 18 years old then, and he was taking on the likes of Larry Mosley (former USA amateur standout), Cuello (a solid fighter who gave JCC Jr. hell), and Michel Rosado. And he beat them all. He actually beat Larry Mosley in the USA, too, not in Mexico! Anyway, the person who wins this fight will definitely proove himself to be one of the best IMO.

I guess we already know who Lederman is favoring and we'll have to watch out for those close rounds. Lederman is known for giving even obviously lost rounds to the loser, almost as if he's just trolling.

Any way, I think Canelo will TKO Trout.
