Wow, imagine if everyone who cherrypicked bums, lightweight and journeymen while campaigning at least 1 weight class above everyone he's ever faced got these undeserved accolades. The sport would be really screwed.

Canelo is a talented boxer, and has IQ beyond his years, but they need to slow down with crowning this kid a superstar and everything. GBP has done a hell of a job hyping him up.

yah seriously lol....just shows how well GBP has hyped up canelo. i don't see canelo destroying trout because 1)trout isn't undersized 2)he isn't past his prime and 3)trout has good boxing ability ...

He didn't say Canelo was a proven fighter. To be honest it is people like you that makes a part of me want fighters like Trout and Lara to lose.

No he didn't. What I addressed was how 1 can say Trout isn't proven when he's fighting canelo, who's done less in more fights. Most people want Trout to lose already, so what's you being 1 extra guy??

I find it amazing though, that guys would want the pampered spoon fed fighter to win. While wishing the destruction of the fighter that actually had to earn his shot. Shows how severely deluded the boxing fan has become, as far as I'm concerned.

Well Lederman likes aggressive fighters who press the action and even at his measured pace that is much more Canelo than it is Trout so no surprise Lederman would say something like that.

cotto was beating trout half way through and gassed horribly. that's why i'm not completely sold on trout. I don't think Canelo will destroy him though but could be a wide decision.

I think Canelo wins this fight, but I don't think he destroys Trout at all. I think he will UD him. Trout's a good fighter, but he is nothing special. People hyping him up here just don't like all the attention Canelo gets so they want him to lose badly.
Would love to see this boards reaction if Canelo ends up destroying him though, would be hilarious.
