Di Bella has little say on what Martinez does, Sergio said so himself in an interview. Di Bella didn't originally want Sergio to fight in Argentina and yet Sergio went on and did it. Di Bella originally wanted Sergio to fight a Chavez Jr. rematch in San Antonio right away if you saw the post fight conference. Unlike fighters like Chavez Jr., Pac, etc. Sergio runs himself. You'll never hear him say "ask my promoter" or "I'll fight whoever my promoter puts in front of me."
June Options for Golovkin. Who should he fight?

Lol, Quillin is promoted by GBP, WTF are you talking about? And Martinez does whatever he wants, you'll never hear him say "ask my promoter."Other then Lou Dibella saying:
"Who would give a flying ****, and why are you even asking? Who knows Gennady Golovkin other than you, me and a few other people? How many people would he bring to the table? How much money would he generate? ... He is a very good fighter, but it's a fight that economically makes no sense."
He then signed PPV attractions Guerrero and Murray for Quillin and Sergio
Try quoting Sergio next time.Comment

I want him to fight the top fighters like Gaele, Sergio and Quillin, and that means i dont want him facing #15-20 guys? Yes i dont want him to face 15-20 guys, i want Top 5 guys! Its amusing how you try to flip my words aroundNo need for protection, Martinez has a fight lined up...with a guy ranked #10 at MW. Martinez went through the same thing, he moved up and beat the champ. You obviously don't think Golovkin is good enough to do the same thing, you don't even want him to fight a #15-20 ranked MW. Who is really in protection mode?

And yet you're okay with him facing Makoto, Lajuan, Nunez, Milton, Rosado, Ishida, and Tapia? And that's from 2010 onwards...Comment

I mean to give quillins quote too, which is almost exactly the same
Guys talking about Golovkin not brining enough money, then sign to fight guys like that
Oh so sergio does what he wants, so he personally chose Murray over Golovkin, thats makes perfect sense, so Sergio is a ducker. You've made that very clear

I already explained his situation to you before Dec 2011 but you ducked that post, no wonder you support MW duckers
And i already explained why he fought Rosado and Ishida. You keep asking the exact same thing, its rinse and repeat with youComment

Well why don't you put things in context and ask yourself for a second why he chose Murray for his April 27 fight?I mean to give quillins quote too, which is almost exactly the same

First of all, It is Martinez's return home in over a decade and he is expected to defend his title (WBC). If he were to fight a titleholder he could give the WBC (Sulaiman) an excuse to strip him again since they don't allow unifications; notice Martinez didn't choose Geale or Quillin either. Second, Murray is English and the Argentines hate the Brits because of the Falklands War; thus this match-up is a big draw over there. Result: 10,000 tickets were sold on the first day.Last edited by BafanaBafana; 04-01-2013, 09:23 PM.Comment

Please stop speaking common sense. Its not like these guys are prize fighters or anything. They should take the hardest fights possible for the least amount of money IMO.Well why don't you put things in context and ask yourself for a second why he chose Murray for his April 27 fight?

So you mean to tell me that even though he held a regular title belt he was still not able to find better opposition than Nilson Tapia, Makoto Fuchigami, and Lajuan? And please tell me why he was fighting only twice a year when he was facing such mediocre opposition?
Also why did he try to weight drain Rodriguez and Oosthuizen? I thought he was willing to fight anyone at 168, period.Comment

I should put things into context? You gave me a top 30 MW list from Boxrec and asked me why GOlovkin isnt fighting all of those guys, along with Molina and Lara, who both have scheduled fights and now you're asking for context?Well why don't you put things in context and ask yourself for a second why he chose Murray for his April 27 fight?

He chose Murray because he sucks, is easy to hit and will be a nice KO. He chose the easier option, its not hard to figure out the contextComment
