Who should he fight then? Almost everyone on the list of top 20 or whatever fighters won't fight him. Sturm, Martinez, Chavez, Quillin, Macklin, Pirog etc.

I don't see how its so difficult for some people to understand he's having a very hard time getting fights against top opponents.

This is what i mean by sergio fans should empathize with Golovkin. Not to mention he spent 13 years fighting nobodies
So was Pavlik the champion or not the champion at MW? You are putting Martinez in Pavlik's place instead of putting Golovkin in Sergio's. Martinez moved UP in weight and Pavlik (the champion at the higher weight) gave him a shot because the guys at his current weight class wouldn't fight him.

So, putting Golovkin in Sergio's place, where none of the guys in his current class will fight him, it would be up to the champ either a class above or a class below him to accept a fight with him. In Sergio's case, it was the class above, which is why I mentioned Ward or Kessler/Froch.

Martinez took a risk moving up and fighting Pavlik, but he was also the #1 ranked JMW and the WBC titleholder there. He moved up and fought Pavlik because he couldn't get fights at 154. It would be like GGG fighting Ward because he can't land fights at 160. Get it?

Who cares if he moved up, the point is that Pavlik gave him a shot. He was coming off a loss to Williams, he didnt not have a real 154 title and was a low reward/high risk fight. Cintron gave him a shot too

Between 1998 and 2009 I count 11-12 years not 13, and that includes fights against P. Williams, Cintron, Margarito, Bunema, Saul Roman, and R. Williams; most if not all of which were prime top 10-15 contenders in their respective divisions at the time Sergio fought them so stfu w/the comparisons.
OMG its 12 years instead of 13. Its hilarious how you bring up the semi decent guys but completely ignore the scrubs he faced for 12 years and are hyping them up like he deserved a Pavlik fight for those

As I suggested: fight guys ranked 11-20 at mw in the meantime, have guys from 154 move up, move up himself, move down himself......or not fight at all. Is he being avoided? Sure looks like it.

I'll put it like this: When Chavez was avoiding Martinez, people complained and complained and complained, the fight eventually happened.......2 years later. My point is people can complain all they want but that isn't going to make a fight drop in his lap. Taking action and doing something in the meantime probably will make a difference though.

He could drop to 154 and take on Trout if he beats Canelo or try to get a fight with Canelo. If he wins that, he's an instant money maker and people would be more inclined to fight him because at least they would get paid for the beating they would take.

All fighters fight scrubs to build up their records, including GGG who fought a (1-22-3) and a (1-10-0) guy. However Sergio's pre-MW resume is better than GGG's MW resume or entire resume for that matter.

I dunno man, 3G has been a pro for 7 years already, how many "non scrubs" has he beaten so far out of 30 fights?

Yeah, but Martinez didn't offer a fight to PWill, it was the other way around when Pavlik dropped out. Has Ward offered a fight to GGG that he passed on?

But again, you're expecting something from him you don't expect of your p4p guy. I wonder what would happen if I went through your posting history, looking for posts in threads like "Why is sergio challenging Floyd/Pac and not Ward if he wants to be p4p"

What is with this move up fascination? You are ****ting on Golovkin for it, you cannot have it both ways. Its only fair if a fighter from 154 goes up to MW and asks Sergio for a shot? Is that what you're saying? You're putting variables that dont matter at all. Golovkin has to move up to 168 and challenge Ward for it to be similar to Sergio situation? The point that is being made is that Sergio got the shot that he is denying Golovkin. He was avoided for a long time but got the shot. In reality He was coming off a loss to Williams and didnt have 1 win at 160 yet Pavlik gave a low reward-high risk guy a chance.
