Go back a little, and Lyell, Duddy and Rowland are going the distance and giving him issues (minus Duddy). And he was still much bigger, he had 15lbs on Zbik.

So he's gotten tremendous mileage out of a hail mary KD of tired SM after 11 shutout rounds, and Andy Lee. Even without the frailty Lee wasn't top ten, see his struggle with feather fisted McEwen. He didn't even look Euro level in his last fight, but I'm sure much of that is after effects of Chavez.

But I agree Chavez is a lot more proven than GGG, proven not very good except for the chin.
Yeah I agree that his power is overrated, he only stopped two guys at 160 and they both had been KO'd before, although he is getting bigger and his power is increasing with his size which is natural. And that's why he was able to drop Martinez. He actually has average power for a guy who's 180-185 lb in the ring.

While I'd favor him against Martinez at this time, I think Chavez jr might be more problematic.

I know it sounds weird, but in my opinion Martinez would suffer against Golovkin, who is way better at applying pressure and at cutting off the ring than Chavez Jr, as well as being more well rounded.
Also, Martinez is 37 and coming off knee surgery.

On the other hand, Chavez jr is a big dude with a very solid chin, getting into a brawl might favor him.
Golovkin has surely looked impressive, but his most relevant win so far is Proska. It's not like he's knockned out Hearns or Hagler.
I see where you're coming from but I disagree, I think GGG would have a hard time finding Martinez and he would have a hard time seeing Martinez's punches coming. A Chavez fight would just be a matter of how long can Chavez withstand GGG's murderous blows before going down.

I heard the IBF will go to purse bid soon, seems like they don't give a **** about the PED testing. Soliman/Geale would be a VERY lucrative fight in Australia so it's in their best interest to make the fight happen and get their sanctioning fees.

I may be wrong, but AFAIK it's far from huge, like no way would Geale get 200k out of that, with the promoter taking a loss probably. Soliman has 0 fans, and even Geale was pretty much in the same position before Mundine. Not sure if any of The Man's "appeal" rubbed off on him.
