It would be Duran v Leonard 1....making Duran quit like that in the rematch was also pretty special. On that night I think Leonard could have beaten anyone, he was amazing and it highlights what a good win it was for Duran in the first fight.

Absolutely incredible win in an incredible fight.
Not true, most people thought it was a close fight going in and many picked Duran to win.

In hindsight, knowing how great Leonard was, and where Duran was at in his career, there was no way he was suppose to win that fight. Don't really care what people were saying. Don't know what people were saying. I wasn't around back then, but it was not suppose to be a fight he could win.

How nice, some of the worst posters gathering in one thread just to mention Floyd's name. There chance to contribute to a good thread, they want to mention Floyd in a trolling fashion.

Anyone who states that Duran beating Leonard was a huge shock should be immediately be put on ignore. RubenSonny is correct. In fact, some thought Leonard was going to get knocked out.

Duran WAS NOT pass prime. He was like 72-1 and just the previous year gave former WW champion Carlos Palomino a 10 round pummeling.
Duran had already fought as a WW and proven that he could carry his skills and power to the weight.

If you want to pick a Duran fight that was a great win and shocker than the Iran Barkely fight is the better choice. Barkely KTFO Thomas Hearns, a guy who beat DUran in two rounds, and Duran would beat Barkely at nearly 40 and capture a fourth divisional title.

I'd have to say Duran over Leonard. Considering what Leonard did before and after, undefeated, prime Benitez, undefeated, prime Hearns and beating Hagler after a 6 year lay off (and Duran himself of course), Duran moving up in weight to face the best version of Leonard and winning was extraordinary.

Leonard was a favourite, but it wasn't by a huge margin. One of the greatest fights ever too. The best display of skill I've ever seen in a fight.

Correct. He turned pro at age 16, was in his 12th year as a pro, had 73 pro fights and was two divisions above his prime weight. He was by no means shot or faded but he was most definitely not at his peak.
