The only big loss on that list imo, is probably Broner and Khan.

Hopkins won't get those type of viewers every fighter.

JCC Jr. pretty much has HBO on lock.

HBO had a choice to make of whether they were going to give Adrien Broner the june 22 fight or give it to JCC Jr.... the choice for them was obvious. JCC Jr. is simply a much bigger draw.

Broner vs Malignaggi was probably the last straw for HBO. Last time GBP shamelessly made Broner/Reese. Man, this is too much. Who will get excited in seeing Malignaggi/Broner? Enough is enough.

      Good move by HBO.

The old coot doesn't come out to prey on anything. He was asked about it and he gave his opinion. You do the same on this site.

        Although you're not asked-like I just did.

          from an article on yahoo:

There was an article posted on this site about the TV ratings and I think Chavez Jr. had like 3 of the top 5 spots.
We must not forget the unforgettable Showtime fight promoted by Oscar, Bundrage-Smith which must have added to their tremendous reputation.

The best part of that promotion was actually when Bundrage, on seeing Mayweather laugh at him, said "...is that the Money Team or the Funny Team...".

Jr was exposed badly in his last fight and the 24/7 made him look like a lazy, unlikeable douche.

I don't expect him to have the same fan interest as he did before Sergio.

Arum is a nut and disease to boxing! He's played both sides for years he even brought Manny over to Showtime. The problem is GBP and TR are both trying to monopolize a sport that cannot be monopolized.

Looks like Schaefer was overstating his case a little.

But if HBO is banking on Julio Cesar Chavez Jr to carry them into the future I think they are going to be in for a disappointment.

GBP and Haymon have been all about developing and creating Bertos. It's not only Arum that started to notice this deceptive practice.
