HBO realizes that within a few years Arum is going to die and Pacquiao is going to retire? Not the best strategy to entirely write off all of GBP in favor of a Top Rank with so many unknowns when GBP management is not 80 years old and they have some young guys like Canelo and Broner.

Give this 5 years, I wont be surprised if the HBO Sports president gets fired.

HBO don't want GBP making money off them for a while to show GBP that they need to show a little loyalty... Once a new HBO sports guy gets housed things will go back to normal

Maybe that might be true if the world revolved around boxing.. too bad it doesn't. HBO>>> Showtime.

Exactly. I'd be interested to see if this even shifts the margin in subscribers between the 2 networks.

I think its like a 7 million person difference or something like that.

Yeah. You can't compete with HBO's stable of original series.

Yes! Looking forward to such top Rank offerings as Rios-Alvarado, Bradley-Marquez, Mikey Garcia-Donaire, Pacquiao-Marquez V. uhhhhhhhhh....

Bradley vs. Mike Jones. Provodnikov-Rios. Jesse Vargas-Omatoso II...

...that dude from the Subway commercials...

                  ...Rios vs. himself...
should be enough to fill up the next few years, no? Who needs Golden Boy and most of the top fighters in the sport?

Yup. And besides, ShowTime been producing some bull****.

                    Canelo vs. Josesito Lopez
                    Khan vs. Molina
                    Matthysse vs. Dallas Jr.
                    Abril vs. Bogere
                    Broner vs. Malignaggi
Tried to give us Mosley vs. Malignaggi
                    Garcia vs. Judah

GBP been getting better but Top Rank has put out the better product over the past year or so.
