Yeah, but before those barn burners Berto was the Broner of the day. Talented but untested.

I saw Berto fight 2 times live in his hometown. They were both boring as hell, and not even a quarter of the arena was filled.

Berto couldn't draw anywhere and was being paid nicely by HBO.

Most people are caught up in HBO's decision but fail to see the monopoly that is developing right in front our eyes. The most telling thing Arum pointed out is how SHO has been exclusively airing GBP fighters, which has given all the bargaining power to Schaeffer and co. They threatened HBO one to many times by moving fighters to their SHO affiliations and refused to NEGOTIATE but chose to demand. They got kicked to the curb by the largest provider to the sport of boxing because of their tactics, good job! The fact that SHO has not televised a single TR bout since 2011 is mind boggling as well. The fans benefit from competitive programming, meaning promoters pitch to SHO/HBO for tv dates instead of a controlled market. Do we honestly expect promoters to make the best match when they control the market?

Bradley-Provonikov was a good fight as it turned out.......but lets get real......that was NOT, absolutely not a good fight to make going in. Bradley fought an unranked 140 lb fighter for the Welterweight title.....

And yeah Top Rank has Rios-Alvarado II and Donaire-Rigo coming up.....Golden Boy has Alvarez-Trout, Floyd-Guerrero, Matthysse-Peterson, and Alexander-Brook coming up. All good fights.

Let's stop acting Rios vs Alvarado was in high demand; nobody cared about Manny vs Marquez 4 thats why we still don't know how it sold or Manny vs Bradley on HBO.

I've recently canceled HBO and Showtime because it's wasted money the only good fights come on PPV.
They've failed to delive the fights the fans really want to see.

If you knew anything about boxing you'd know Rios Alvarado would be awesome. Pac JMM 4 came on the back of their slowest fight, and still did great numbers, 1.15m. For comparison, Floyd's long awaited comeback from retirement with JMM did less..

i just dont see why they are fighting again. Was rios/alvarado a great action fight . absolutely. but rematches, especially this close to the last fight, occur when there is no clear winner. This fight had a clear winner.

I hope this doesn't become the norm. Just rehashing the same fights over and over.

boring. golden boy and top rank are pathetic. supposed to be the 2 biggest promotional companies and all they do is refuse to give the fans fights that we want to see and bicker like a pair of schoolgirls.
