His style doesn't translate well with casual fans, that said no one could say he's been boring his last few outings, I always enjoy watching Ward fight.

No doubt about it much more fan friendly style. Has KO power. Comes actually looking for the KO. etc

yeah I think it helps as controversy sells in almost any form, i just don't believe it's the major determinant.

Broner's controversial but they're still having to match him against bigger name fighters to promote him and he's also using his relationship/likeness to another big name fighter in Mayweather to try to promote himself.
I wouldn't say this. I think Broner is like Canelo-they will get big fights with big names because they bring sales. Guys like Demarco will always want to fight Broner because he will make far more than Burns/Vazquez/Abril.

WHy do you think paulie signed up so quick for the broner deal.

the dawson fight is the only recent fight that doesn't look like a wrestling/foul fest, ward is a great fighter but everyone was looking at him as a dirty fighter or atleast borderline dirty especially after the kessler fight

Hopkins got to that level by beating De La Hoya and Trinidad, two big names. I think Ward's best bet to get to that level would be Chavez Jr. who is probably the most popular guy from 160-175.
the ppv numbers droped for each fight

Age and losses probably caused that. But point is, the only way Ward can become a PPV fighter, which he wants to be is if he beats a guy with a big name.

Not saying that he will ever become a 1 million PPV type of fighter. He would be doing 200-350K at most like Hopkins.
