I agree to an extent the problem is even Ward has admitted that its slim pickings as far as match ups go.

We know that to be case when a 48 year old Hopkins and a 147 pound Mayweather are your last 2 fights you called for. He wants the recognition financially and I can't blame him. He said his next step is PPV.

Hes going to have sit somewhere and go on an amazing winless streak or pray he gets a catch weight scrap with Chavez or Martinez.

bottom line... ward is a technical BOXER... and is a NICE guy. imo, that is a HORRIBLE combination for marketability this era. trout suffers from the same problem.

I wouldn't say it's a negative, especially in Wards case... If it's a negative, it's because they're undefeated because they haven't fought anyone... i.e. Broner less Demarco.

I'm telling you, if he stays undefeated long enough, his aura will grow.. I'm not saying Floyd stature, he'll never sell 2M ppvs... but it WILL grow..

he's been undefeated since 12 and his aura hasn't grown. at this pace he will have to fight until hes 65.
