And what has Dawson and his trainer said after the fight? Does that count too, or?

Dawson hadn't been at 168 in what? 5 years? He walks around at 190 Lbs. He was severely drained it's as clear as day. I'm a fan of Ward's, I wanted Dawson to make the weight healthily but it's abundantly clear he didn't.

So let me get this straight? You consider that a good win?

Martinez' run has been amazing. Ward's win over Dawson is a good win
No Martinez run hasnt been amazing, which I have stated before. And they would say that after the fight wouldnt they. Yes it was a good win, not great, but good.

      Of course.

I absolutely believe Ward would beat Dawson at 175, and I'd love to see a rematch to get a legit win over Dawson when he isn't drained.

Should I give him credit for fighting a drained Dawson for the same reason? Does that somehow make it a legit win?

i wasn't saying that i found the cases of Ward-Dawson and Mayweather-Mosley to be similar, but rather that the guy you're talking to would be similarly dismissive with regards to any of Mayweather's recent wins.

does Ward deserve full credit for defeating Dawson? definitely not. but Dawson was a new stylistic challenge for him and Ward did what he had to on the night (and did it very well).
Cotto was a decent win, again, not great but decent. Mosley wasnt, but he showed he had some balls and a good chin after getting cracked. Marquez and Ortiz werent very good at all.

You're confident it would be one sided, yet you want to see it? .....ok.

not if you looked at his last piece of work. the demand for a fight with Mayweather was there. Mayweather was actually accused of fearing the guy. many people said he would never sign to fight Mosley. folks in the media cast doubt on it.

Mayweather made the fight and beat the crap out of Mosley. credit is due.

You actually did impy Martinez has been on an amazing run "After the run he's been on, he deserves an easy fight!"

Yeah, so what Dawson say's before the fight is gospel. After, not so much?

Use your eyes, Dawson was clearly drained. And it's not a surprise considering a guy who walks around at 190 Lbs who hasn't weighed lower than 170 odd lbs in 6 years struggles badly to make 168.

You have some strange, contrasting standards.

              Everyone Mayweather fights - Terrible.

Wards win over Dawson - Good!

Am I not allowed to want to see fighters I'm a fan of be in one sided fights?

I think Donaire-Rigondeaux is going to be a one sided fight should I not be looking forward to that either?

And some credit I gave him. but that wasnt anywhere near a prime Mosley and his win over Marg is elevated too highly imo. The Dawson Ward fought and the Mosley Floyd beat arent too far apart in terms of quality when you weigh in everything in my opinion.

Mosley was a good win. did Mosley look gunshy and indecisive after just a few rounds of the fight? yes, but that's what Mayweather did to him. he certainly didn't look gunshy and indecisive just one fight before.

again, many observers believed Mosley was enjoying a renaissance under Richarson. he was coming off one of his best wins/performances. he was identified as one of the two men Mayweather should fight. credit is therefore due.

it was only after Floyd beat him up that Mosley was considered an undesirable opponent for Mayweather.
