I turned off the TV after the winner was announced, do you remember the compubox stats for Cloud? I know he was averaging 700 before the Hopkins fight, did he throw like 400 in this fight? He was no where near as active as people thought he would be. Looked to me like he threw under 500 punches, actually i'd be surprised if he threw 450.

I don't trust the HBO crew anymore, they make me angry with their commentary. I just turn it off, I am not interested in anything they have to say.

Even when it was clear he was behind Cloud didn't go all out. He accepted defeat mid fight. Good win and performance from Hopkins though.

Going off fading memory I think they has Cloud throwing 640 but only landing 21%. They had Hopkins landing around 45%.

640 seemed high thow, i agree it seemed a lot less.

Why can't both be part of boxing? Surely you're just as bad as them by saying brawling has no place in the sport. They are just different shades of the same sport, different styles. Boxing is what it is, not what you think it should be

Did any of you enjoy this sparring fight? Why was Cloud so passive?? No aggression whatsoever and he hardly let his hands go? WTF was that all about?

Yes Hop is a legend but most of his fights are just boring. I want to see him against someone who actually comes to fight with a great work rate, pressure and set a high pace. This was a f_ucking terrible slow pace fight just like Hop wanted. Cloud should really be ashamed of himself.

Some fans are fans of certain styles of fighting. Not fans of the sport of boxing.

That's all it is. And there's nothing wrong with that. That's just how it is.

Musicians dumb down there music to appeal to larger audiences. Same way that fighters with dumbed down styles appeal to certain audiences.

Maybe Cloud could pursue a Cleverly fight? Hopkins was given another title shot after losing his title, I don't see why the same can't happen to Cloud. Or a Cloud-Pascal fight, would be a war.

Cleverly has been asking for B-Hop to come overseas for a fight. Pascal would be busy with Dawson, and if he wins that he may want to rematch Hopkins or make a Canadian-style mega-fight with Bute...

It may be tough for him to get a fight with those guys...he may have to consider a fight with Kovelev or Fonfara...

That could be on FNF later in the year
