I was all set to put £100 but pulled out last minute because judges have been ever favourable to Cloud.

Seriously can't believe I didn't pull the trigger on an outcome so clearly obvious.

Been literally shouting from the rooftops for weeks that Hopkins would embarrass Cloud then I don't even go through with the bet because of the fear of corruption.

I've talked myself out of a few before I've had to live with, most recently Thompson vs Price though I was ill.
I was lying in bed and something was telling me over & over ''Thompson K.O/TKO'' I presume that was probably was something ridiculous like 12/1

I've had a few robberies that have helped me out mind so I guess I can't complain too much

Comparing him to Ottke is like apples and oranges. I think it's safe to say that B-Hop has done and shown a lot more in his prime and past his prime than Ottke ever did.


That doesn't change the fact that Ottke was a highly skilled boxer. My point is just cause you like the sweet science don't mean you have to think every boxer is all that fun to watch no matter how skilled they are and that goes for every sport.


Because I enjoy coming in here after post-fight and changing the tide before it gets too big to contain/control. Whether it's a lot of "Hopkins is on steroids/PED's" or "Hopkins is boring" threads. Contain and control before it spreads.

That's ok. You didn't get it your way. But what it's important to know is that it wasn't all Cloud that failed, it was Hopkins that made him fail and look like a corpse. It's his specialty.

Instead of being bitter, you should embrace a 48 year old for winning and keeping up with these youngsters, rather than being a spoiled brat about it because you didnt' get your "entertainment" tonight, maaaaaaah

I'm not bitter....I respect his game. He's a legend but I'm still disappointed in Cloud's performance because it turned out to be another boring Hopkins fight, that's all.

Why can't both be part of boxing? Surely you're just as bad as them by saying brawling has no place in the sport. They are just different shades of the same sport, different styles. Boxing is what it is, not what you think it should be

Brawling is something a Boxer is SUPPOSE TO BE ABLE TO DO when he needs to do it...Ray Leonard, Ali when it was time to fight their way out of trouble they was able to do it

But something happened over the years in which fans just wants to see BRAWLING and now they feel if you don't Brawl or "STAND AND GO TOE TO TOE" then: "Your Scared" "Your Running" then that is not boxing which is complete BS, boxing is about Hitting and Not Getting Hit! And if your opponent forces you into Brawl/Fight/War like Hagler vs Hearns and Hearns vs Ray Leonard then so be it but I don't think any skilled fighter should come out and BRAWL because some clueless ***in fans want him to do so

If B-Hop listened to the fans during his career he would not be doing what he is doing now that is for sure!

I went into this fight with low expectation, but it was an ok fight realistically. Hopkins seemed more willing to fight this time and didn't clinch like his life depended on it. Also he really wasn't that dirty at all, he just out boxed Cloud and put on a clinic .

Maybe I would find it boring if I wasn't amazed at watching him beat someone who has every physical advantage over him. You're watching pure craft in the ring which is rare.

FRUSTRATING. That's how I would describe this "fight". Cloud was embarrassing. It was if he was doing everything he could to let this version of Hopkins dominate him. No activity, no pressure, NO ANYTHING!!! Hopkins is an old man, not just an old boxer, but an OLD MAN! Test that old body! Get on him and don't stop throwing! B-Hop is a savvy defender, so you're not gonna hit him just throwing ONE shot at a time. You're gonna get countered, that's what Hopkins does, but throw in combination and something will land, especially at this point in his career. These dudes are getting caught up in his mystique and losing before the bell. Ultimately, Cloud is a ****** fighter and couldn't capitalize. Plus, what was up with his body?? He seemed like he lost alot of muscle mass. Anyway, props to X. He's a master at what he does.
