It's a good win but he looked like ****. I don't see how a Calzaghe fan would want his legacy defined by that particular fight.

Considering what Hop went on to do after that fight, it was a damn good win. Ugly fight, but meaningful win.

NOONE can doubt that Joe had Olympian, ATG fitness.
he did but the problem was his slappy fighting style was as pathetic as his stamina was great. Hopkins should of won that fight and the proof is that no one can find 1 significant punch calzaghe landed in the whole entire fight. Not one? WTF is that?

dude, he did land a few, but they didn't hurt Bernard, Hopkins is way too tough to show hurt even against Dawson thuds.

Bernard outlanded him, but if you only show up for half the fight, then you cant really win it. I don't think Joe won it either, a draw would have been a fairer result, but if anyone DIDNT win it was Bernard that night. If the fight had gone 10 rounds, Bernard would have had the win, but it didn't.

Lets be honest, when one has to talk about who DIDNT lose or who DIDNT win in that negative way, then its a guaranteed crap fight. You can see why Joe took the oldie fights rather than anything more challenging. Fighting someone skilled AND fit would have resulted in a loss for him.

If the win wasn't so highly debatable, I could see the point of this tread. However the win is highly debatable so why bother??

Since then Hopkins has beaten pavlik, Pascal and Cloud, well schooled all of them and won three more world titles.

Years and years roll by, champs come and go but Hopkins keeps racking up dem wins

Hopkins just keeps whoopin' these guys, and that win is looking better and better for Sir Joe
It was a great, great win for JC. Its not as if people didnt have the chance to expose JC, and they never did.
That win for JC is better than anything Floyd as done, and that is why JC is greater than FLoyd when it comes to the guys with unbeaten records. He did it in america as well, so JC dared to be great. Something Floyd dont know the meaning of.........dare being the operative word.

JC didnt look great, but BH dont let you look great.

You can literally taste the bitterness from some of them.

Calzaghe's win over Hopkins will stand for life. Hopkins keeps winning and making Joe's win even sweeter.
