Why do BK fighters always say Brooklyn as if it makes them tough?

There are exceptions to every rule but if you think growing up in a tough area doesn't make you tougher, then you're fooling yourself.

Growing up hard, makes you hard. It's the reason most of the best boxers come from bad backgrounds and poor areas of the world.

Again, there's exceptions to the rules but very few upidy rich kids make it in a sport like boxing.

Anyway, That dude three losses against nobodies and two draws and no knockout wins.

His record is far from impressive (8 fights 3 W 3 L 2 D) but he's from BROOKLYN so Marcus Brown better watch out.

No, the reason most boxers come from a rough background is because it's a poor mans sport.

But a poor man who had it hard growing up, in terms if finances and what not, might not be physically the toughest guy. Being from somewhere doesn't make you physically tough. A lot of people from lower income areas like to holler a lot, but a lot times they aren't so much without their boys behind them. I saw this growing up and it's gotten terrible with this younger era of kids/young men.

And there's bad areas in every city, some more so than others and some worse than others. I'd live ANYWHERE in California before some cities in the Midwest.

I am from Brooklyn. Born, raised, and still live here as I type. People from Brooklyn, whether you area young black male or an elderly caucasian woman have that same self confidence that says "If I have made it here there isn't a place in the world I couldn't thrive in". People from Brooklyn believe they have the best girls, the nicest fashion, the realest people. It's just a lot of self confidence (admittedly a bit of arrogance) about themseleves. I have friends that won't even say the city, state or borough they are from when they are out of town, they will say the street lol. "Oh you guys are from up North?" "Yeah, I'm from Flatbush babygirl."

but being black and not saying Em is the best is "black madness"?!?...funny logic there in the bold bro....I grew up in North Philly and can only speak on North Philly...I don't try to be the lip service for every hood across America...I never saw ppl in my neighborhood holla alot...I heard them guns shouting though....toughness is not physical....its mental!!

being from certain walks of life doesn't make you tougher or smarter...its just a pride thing...not really a big deal imo
