  • Why do BK fighters always say Brooklyn as if it makes them tough?

I noticed this a lot, lol, when they get into a confrontation they say BROOKLYN all day mu****a! or always drop that they are from the BK as if it gives them street cred or supposed to make the opponent scared like "oh damn he is from BK I better watch out I am going to lose! he has the special BK powers that will hurt me in the ring!" lol

This bum 34 year old boxer tries to call out a young fmr olympia and drops the Brooklyn threat

I guess they expect people to be intimidated just because of that area? Like being from a specific area automatically makes them tough.

Same reason people think they're tough if they're from East LA, when in reality some ******ed white boy from Nebraska would kick their ass.

well I watched it and they are both from NY so thats why he's probably saying it. He knows him and knows where he's from

I would love a boxer from say middle-class Surrey to start bigging it up: 'I am from Surrey, Fetcham Mother****er! Don't test this. I went to a good school and I can speak fluent latin and I never wanted for anything. I will **** you up.'

The rationale reminds me of this movie scene:

I had that problem once. A dude said not to **** with him cuz he was from the Chi.

At first I wasn't intimidated, until I asked him what side, and he said west. Then I ran.

Like Roger Mayweather said "Brooklyn is just a place where people live, it don't mean ****!"

Weak people need to posture because they are hoping you will back down instead of confronting them. In my experIence most ppl who run around repping Brooklyn are huge puzzies.
