Robert Guerrero is okay as an opponent for Floyd.

Sergio or Canelo would be ideal, but Guerrero is fine for now.

well seeing that Andre Berto was the 3-4 HIGHEST ranked WW's that automatically causes it.

Remember back in 2010 when Berto was Undefeated, WBC champion, Ranked number 2 in his weight class depending if you count Floyd Mayweather who was inactive at his time...

And Pac choose to fight Shot as **** Mosley?

about two years ago berto used to be considered a top welterweight, however back then the division wasn't as flooded with big names as it is now.

It's funny to joke about but its just a coincidence. Berto was the #1 guy in the division when Ortiz beat him so that fight made sense at the time.

Guerrero is Floyd's mandatory not because of beating Berto but because of beating Aydin who was the mandatory challenger for a long time.

It doesn't have anything to do with that, it's simple.....

When Ortiz beat Berto, who had been rumored as a Pacquiao opponent and seen as a Top WW, it launched Ortiz high up the rankings. He was the best fight for Floyd or Manny at that time aside from each other.

With Guerrero coming off two "decent" wins over Aydin and Berto, and with Marquez stopping Manny, who is there??? Guerrero is the next best WW not named Marquez, who Floyd already beat.

Both are solid, not huge fights, but solid fights against top ranked fighters at his weight. I swear he's the only fighter ever to get this much crap for fighting top ranked fighters at his weight.

It was HBO hype. If you look at what Berto actually did it wasn't impressive at all. He beat a C level fighter Rodriguez for the vacant WBC belt then he lost to Collazo in many peoples eyes, his other title defenses were against a bunch of no-hopers, and half of those guys were junior welterweights.

I'm sure them being Mexican Americans and coming off impressive wins has a whole lot to do with it. That's why he makes the fights on Mexican holidays. The "us vs them" situation has always sold fights. I don't think it has much to do with Berto.

Find me a link where people say Guerrero is being ducked by Floyd. If not Guerrero, who is he going to fight? He won't take on Canelo. Fans don't even mention Trout for Floyd. Who is he going to fight? Martinez? Who?
