Why does beating Andre Berto earn you a Mayweather fight?

You never give me a straight answer, you bumsniffing pleb, so do one.
(I actually did answer his question, which was pretty dumb, but typical flojob garbage and anyone that isnt a flojob could easily understand the gist)Last edited by junior gong; 03-06-2013, 02:48 PM.Comment

Cotto, Williams, DLH2... Martinez has been saying he can do 154 for floyd for ages......and so on and so on...we could go back further to Tszyu, but no need. Its amazing that he never fought these guys but managed to fight the dross he has been fighting considering you lot champion him as the most powerful man in boxing(all roads lead to da money yo!..year year).Comment

people seem to assert pretty regularly that floyd mayweather waited out cotto's prime before he fought him. they also claim that his "retirement" was an attempt to avoid a welterweight division that was heating up.
same with shane mosley.
i'm just echoing the sentiments of bsceners, and don't agree with them.
i don't think it's the case that he "ducked" either, and still pick him to beat him if they were to fight in their primes. personally i don't see mayweather having any issues in fictitious fights with the recent WW, going all the way back to felix trinidad.
for some reason i have this vision of floyd taking a left hook high on the head against trinidad. who knows what happens after that
if his stayed on his shoulders floyd would invariably adjust.Comment

Thats a fair post, but its amazing that a guy with his drawing power(again, flojobs are sooo proud of floyds ppv figures) has managed to somehow not fight the best guys around.people seem to assert pretty regularly that floyd mayweather waited out cotto's prime before he fought him. they also claim that his "retirement" was an attempt to avoid a welterweight division that was heating up.

His comeback fare has been piss weak for the so called standard bearer of the sport.Comment

He ducked the rematch with Oscar?Cotto, Williams, DLH2... Martinez has been saying he can do 154 for floyd for ages......and so on and so on...we could go back further to Tszyu, but no need. Really? You actually believe that?
He ducked Tszyu?
When people bring up Tszyu, that is always an eye opener for me.
At which point did Mayweather duck Paul Williams? Before or after he lost to Quintana?
Let's add Shane Mosley to the list, he's one of the more obvious ducks, of course. Is it still 2009?
Let's face it, other than Margarito and Stevie Johnston who for one reason or another Mayweather clearly avoided and again let's throw Pacquaio in there just for arguments sake, you can't make a solid case for him avoiding any of those fighters and especially laughable examples like the Oscar rematch and Kosta Tszyu who are two fighters he obviously did not duck.
Let's throw in Vivian Harris while we're there, and Cory Spinks and Spadafora. Let's just throw in every person who he didn't fight while they were in the same divison. They must be ducks at this rate.
And I have absolutely no idea what your last sentence means.Comment
