What makes a win over shot morales, or a shot chop chop, inferior to a win over a shot off peds, incorporating a shoulder roll in the middle of his career, Berto? The bright lights? Because HBO says so? Lol

Homie, Devon isn't exactly there to be hit. I went over this. Chino can be outmaneuvered and frustrated, but if anyone tries to break him down, fight his fight, or trade... They will lose. Ghost would be broken in half by Chino. Oh and are you trying to say Ghost is better than Devon? I don't agree. He a more exciting fighter but not better.
Devon Alexander gets off from mid range, then holds, that's the same thing Berto does, except Berto is more explosive, too strong and would likely hurt Alexander plenty, Guerrero was versatile enough to smother Berto and work him close. Devon on the other hand is incapable of that simply because he has no inside game. Guerrero is every bit better than Devon, Devon has speed over him but that's about it. Guess who else can't fight on the inside all that much, Maidana, Guerrero would smother him as well and Maidana doesn't have the foot speed or foot work to escape. Maidana, and I admire his progress, wouldn't be able to deal with Guerrero.

    • maidana's stamina looked suspect with morales and corley. he's known to be lazy in training camp.

maidana lost every round to alexander in a bad style matchup fight. guerrero adapted a very similar gameplan when he fought berto which is why i favor him in a fight with maidana just a bit. he's not some rangey master boxer though and has been in brawls with lesser fighters on many occasions. it was only two fights ago he was struggling and getting beaten up by a strong puncher that averaged 2 punches thrown per round.

it's a 50/50 fight in my eyes and a very good one.

HBO doesn't take me on any rides. I don't have have the channel in my country to start and secondly I have never and will never be a fan of Berto and from the very start of his career have said he's nothing but hype.

But let's face it, he is absolutely a better opponent than a shot to pieces Morales and worse a shot to pieces Corley. He struggled badly in both of those fights and very arguably lost to Corley.

And Berto is shot now? You sure are a creature of logic

You know that if you say it again and again, year after year, one day it may actually be true!

              • Berto was a perfect example as to why having that precious "0" losses is meaningless. People bought into that instead of looking more closely at his weak resume.

Berto had some qualities that gave that impression that there was a reason why he had an "0" .... but the fact was that he hadn't faced competition that would expose his weaknesses.

Devon and Berto have tthe same fighting style? Or do I misread? Eh.. I feel Berto was an athletic cat in his prime, strong, but never really knew what his style was. That's why he switched mid career to a shoulder roll. Devon to me seems to know who he is more, and that's what makes me favor him in a h2h with Berto, despite who's more comfortable at ww and all that. Berto and Devon have one similarity, they clinch, but the difference is what a fighter is facing coming in. Devon throws faster, crisper, and more combination oriented attacks than Berto. This would make all the difference in the world in a h2h of Ghost and Devon...Ghost would try to smother Devon, and devon would eat him up coming in. This is what happened to Maidana in their fight, Devon was the first to get off every time. Same would happen with Ghost..

But, h2h ghost and maidana? What was killing Maidana wasn't clinching specifically, it was speed and sharpness. Trust me, Maidana can rough someone up on the inside, he was gonna maul Khan in infighting but Cortez kept that from happening. Anyway, Ghost is capable, tough, but doesn't have maidana's pop and doesn't have the crispness and speed of Devon to discombobulate Maidana. Chino would win, no doubt in my mind homie.

Nah. Berto is shot, in that he never was. He a hyped fighter. A gatekeepr. I don't understand why so much importance is attached to him.
