Its a good move by Alvarez. He knows he's a bigger draw than Guerrero and decided to fight on a different date. Simple as that.

It's a bad argument. Martinez fighting Mayweather at 154 is not comparable to Martinez fighting Ward at 168. Martinez has never fought at 168 before and obviously doesn't feel comfortable about moving up in weight. Mayweather on the other hand is a champion at 154. Martinez has fought there before, and obviously feels he can fight at that division.

Why can't people like you see this logical breakdown? Arguing Mayweather/Martinez is the same as Martinez/Ward is a bad argument. I'd agree if Mayweather wasn't ranked no.1 at 154
Martinez could come in at 168 on fight night at super middleweight to fight Ward.At middleweight Martinez sometimes comes in higher then 170.Martinez fought a Chavez junior whose at-least the same size as Ward.

Martinez don`t even want to fight Kid Chocolate and Golovkin whose in his weight class. He just wants to cherry pick his way through his career. But yet Floyd who takes more risk then him gets bashed.

Martinez don`t even want to fight Floyd cause if he wanted to he would have called him out instead of choosing to fight Martin Murray.

Funny thing is- Canelo saying Floyd was trying to use him to boost PPV sales. And Canelo is not even acknowledging that he has been saying Mayweathers name every time he gets a chance for the last year and a half to help build himself as a contender. He definitely didn't build himself by fighting Jossesito Lopez and Matthew Hatton.

Exactly,If Floyd would have signed to fight Canelo and Canleo gets a gift deciaion against Trout then Floyd would be forced to fight an undeserving fighter.Plus what if Canelo asked for too much money? If Floyd turns it down then Floyd would get sued.

when mayweather beats Guerrero then he should sign the contract the next day but he cant sign a contract to fight alvarez when he has to fight Guerrero first and canelo has to beat trout which i dont think he will do, it will be a miracle if Guerrero wins but you never know what could happen he could win on cuts if he sticks his thumb in mayweather's eyes like he did berto.

So Martinez fights at 168 at fight night. What do you think Ward comes in at on fight night? Ward is a former Gold-medallist Light Heavyweight.

168 is a division Martinez hasn't been in. He obviously feels he can't compete there. He's fought at 154 and says he can get there again. If Mayweather is currently no.1 at 154, and tolds a title there, whats the problem? Like your analogy of Martinez-Chavez Jr, if he can make the weight then why not?

So if either Canelo or Trout (after their fight) don't get Mayweather, we can call it a duck then?

I'm still trying to understand why people believe Sergio can still make 154 comfortably, since he is 38 and hasn't fought there in 4 years?

Also, if Sergio feels he can't conpete at 168, it has nothing to do with weight. It has more to do with who is sitting at the throne

Do you have any proof, say any quotes from Martinez past or present, where he'd entertain the idea of moving to 168? Even before Ward was at the top? Sergio claims he can make 154 comfortably, doesn't matter what anyone else thinks

Canelo is the DLH new Golden Boy. He will be a bigger attraction after this fight with trout if he wins. And wins impressively. He has something Floyd doesn't have. A huge fan base. Its good that he is fighting the best 154 out there right now. He is being marketed very nicely.
Floyd cries wolf too much. Nobody wants to hear his hype ****** talk. He has never backed anything he has said up and has been caught in so many lies that it is disgusting. If Floyd wants to save face. If he wins against Guerrero ,he needs to step it up.
