No serious negotiation attempts were made from Sergio's camp, everytime they holler Floyd's name, they have a fight booked.....in this case, not only does Sergio have a fight book, but he's got a Chavez rematch booked right after that fight. Well when does this man plan on seriously sitting down with his team, and try and make some phone calls? It's funny how every single fighter in this sport is dangerous except for Mayweather, no one fears Floyd, but Floyd fears everyone? Mayweather has more talent in his left hand than most of these fighters combined, you don't think these guys consider Floyd a threat as well? Canelo is the DLH new Golden Boy. He will be a bigger attraction after this fight with trout if he wins. And wins impressively. He has something Floyd doesn't have. A huge fan base. Its good that he is fighting the best 154 out there right now. He is being marketed very nicely.

Funny thing is- Canelo saying Floyd was trying to use him to boost PPV sales. And Canelo is not even acknowledging that he has been saying Mayweathers name every time he gets a chance for the last year and a half to help build himself as a contender. He definitely didn't build himself by fighting Jossesito Lopez and Matthew Hatton.

So, how is it that Sergio Martinez is so much bigger than Floyd when on fight night Martinez is weighing relatively the same as Cotto and Ortiz when they fought Mayweather?

There were no serious attempt because Mayweather did not want to do any serious negotiation.

Let me ask you a question, why wouldn't Martinez want to fight Mayweather when it would be one his biggest paychecks of his whole career?

If somebody came up to you and said you can make more money doing this job than that one wouldn't you pursue it?

Nothing happened you f'ing moron. Ortiz lost and the fight was called off. And that's exactly what would happen if Canelo lost.

And it is Mayweather not wanting to sign you douche, not Golden Boy Promotions.

Canelo should just take it up the azz like you do and help Mayweather with the promotion and get all of Canelo's fans to buy the PPV when he doesn't have a guarantee that he'll even get Mayweather.

To make the Mayweather vs Canelo bout bigger than it is. I honestly don't know why everyone's clamoring for this fight, it's laughable to me. I think he's gonna get the beats from Trout, it won't even be a close fight, and if somehow he makes it past Trout, Floyd will make that kid look like Baldomir. Im not sold on the guy, at all, he's a little kid for crying out loud. Mayweather/Guerrero the much more competitive, challenging fight.
