Nobody on here is saying Vitali has the best resume. He may have had a lot greater resume had he not retired for 4 years but it is what it is. Had he not retired, fighting 2 times a year he would be 23-2 in title fights now and would put him on the great heavyweight reign discussion.
he loses too, he loses 2 out of 15 title fights, so that's in 1 in 7 ratio.

So it would be slightly more than 23-3, 23-4 rounded up, and that's assuming no hindrance from injuries.

you cant have it both ways either.

For the sake of conversation, in what year would these fantasy fights take place?. And how would beating Tyson's corpse, a 40 something Holifield, the HW versions of Toney and Jones Jr make Vitali an ATG?
Vitali would own any version of any of those fighters, especially Roy.

Roy's my favorite fighter and I still have enough unbias sense to know that.

If you have any idea whatsoever in your head that Roy or Toney could ever compete with either Klitschko, delete your account and stop watching boxing immediately.

I love how getting wobbled by a punch to the top of his head and hurting his knee as a result = injuring himself.

        Good one.

All you and others on here have to say is:

NO MATTER WHAT YOU SAY I WILL HAVE A REBUTTAL TO DISCREDIT VITALI ON ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING UNTIL THE END OF TIME.

Then , and only then, we can get into the real reason why you are doing it so there can be some truth in this conversation.

Care to elaborate why you are a blatant obvious hater?

Solis badly damaged his knee in that fight, that's a proven fact. That "temple shot" hardly grazed him. As a previous poster said, even Vitali himself knew that it wasn't his shot that ended it.

OT: When basing greatness one has to go by resume. And Vitali lacks in that department.

Rid**** Bowe was "greater" than Vitali. And arguably better H2H too.
Maybe he could have gotten up and got clobbered into submission shortly afterwards but the reason Solis was injured was because his legs went wobbly from the punch. It's very clear to see in the multiple replays online.

By you dis*****g it shows your motives.

Like you guys say about the LL fight, KO1, right?

Yea, that's how it goes. KO1. I like that. KO1

Vitali doesn't have any win over an ATG. He doesn't really have any great wins at all. He has alot of decent wins sure. But it's not quantity that counts it's quality.
            Uhmmmmm, WRONG!

If Solis wasn't ready or was injured he shouldn't have been in the ring with the HW champ of the world, no excuses.

Let's be serious, Bowe was not greater than Vitali, he was unreliable, out of shape and very rarely motivated, Vitali would hurt him and break him down. His only great victory was Holyfield (Exceptional win no doubt but can't base an entire career on one win).
This ^^^^^^ great post. I would give green if it meant anything.

You and I know that nobody during that time would have beaten him and even when he loses it's due to injury. That being said, a 22-4/5 title fight record is awesome wouldn't you say considering only 3 fighters have ever won more than 20 heavyweight title fights?

Before Weltschmerz's ban, the poll was 75%-25%. Now its less than 60%-40%. Furthermore, look at all the Aug 13 alts in this thread.

The whole discussion is not based solely on resume, otherwise, Wladimir would be 2nd or 3rd all time right now.

You haters can't have it both ways.
