I don't like Chavez nor agree that a fighter should be smoking weed but this is kind of a harsh punishment for weed. Technically this is his 2nd offense but weed is not a PED...

It's the point behind it. He didn't follow the rules. Granted, it's a ****** rule and I don't find anything wrong with weed.

It's no different than drinking too much cough medicine. **** will **** you up if you do it the wrong way or take too much (i.e. Lil Wayne). lol

Weed won't even do that but anything is bad for you if you abuse it. Doesn’t mean it should be illegal just punched in the face for abusing it. lol

However the rules state you can't use it. Pretty ****** considering you can smoke cigars or cigarettes. They both **** up your lungs, the REAL damage it does to a boxer IMO. Yet we can keep on smoking them cancer sticks all day BUT...... Weed.....OMG.. it's the devil. lol RUUUUUUUUUUN!

Basically what they are telling him is that he has tested positive before for other ban substances, has skipped post fight drug tests and the marihuana is used as a masking agent and that all of that has caught up to him with this suspension and fine

Lol I get your point. First of all the suspension is pretty dumb itself since it started from the day of the incident but god damn 900k? Come on now. Boxers don't get paid enough as it is. So basically Chavez Jr ALMOST fought for free?
