i dunno why ppl are whining over this, his second time testing positive for a banned substance, what do u think is gonna happen? last time he got a slap on the wrist, this time he got hit heavier and ppl like to ignore that he will be elligible to fight as early as june. get over it.

Lol the suspension ends June of this year, the hell?

That's a little over the amount of time it would have taken him to fight again anyway. The real punishment here is the $900k fine, that's a big fine.

If he didn't realise weed was illegal, he doesn't take the sport seriously. I hope its a wakeup call for him as he seriously needs one.

People whining about it being too harsh, yet complain when nothing happens too. They should make all punishments harsh to clean this sport up. It's boxing after all, it's about the mental push to get through adversity

If he made $3m, then half would go on tax, training expenses etc and now 30% more on his fine. That leaves hardly enough to buy more weed. Sucks.

Well if these "inactive" fighters won't GET active Vegas will earn off of them another way!!! No big deal this kid can't fight a lick anyways!
People talk about hype jobs on this forum but not much is said about this kid who doesn't know how to jab or move correctly. I won't look for him in any fights, he's as "green" as it gets. A 8 round fighter at best!! Ray

hes not that bad really. hes just not that good. a lot of hype surrounding a guy who should honestly be a gatekeeper at best. his name is the problem, well that and he fights 2 divisions below where he should, even tho its ok for him to do so to most.

I agree with you, but it's just a bit messed up that the NSAC are doing the tough guy act here, when their post-fight tests wouldn't detect anything if you were shooting EPO on the way to the ring.

I know alot of people that never stepped in the ring and think its a piece of cake to go 40 plus fights with out losing hate Chavez jr so much but c'mon this way too much for weed when you got guys like berto and Peterson that used peds things that actually make a diff in a fight don't pay that but I guess

Chavez Jr. is probably smoking weed right now to drown his sorrows over the fine and suspension.
