        Margarito has never beaten an elite fighter. He has a suspect wins over Cotto, and Guerrero is a non mother****ing factor.

            It wasn't so much who he beat as much as how he beat them. Margarito was a scary dude, he was knocking people out left and right. And Margarito was enormous physically for a welterweight. Guerrero doesn't strike fear into anybody even if his wins might be more quality.

                                Before Late 2006, when Mayweather-Margarito was discussed, Margarito's notable wins at 147 were Diaz, Lewis, and Cintron. Guerrero's have been Aydin and Berto.

                                What had Margarito done that was so much more legit at that point than Guerrero so far???

                                        Margarito's notable wins before 2006: Diaz, Lewis, and Cintron.

                                        Guerrero's notable wins before 2013: Casamayor and Katsidis at 135. Aydin and Berto at 147.

                                        Berto was more proven than Diaz, Lewis, and Cintron at those times.
