how is Berto more proven? by doing nothing with a belt for 3 yrs?
I'm saying Berto was more proven than Antonio Diaz, Andrew Lewis, and Kermit Cintron were at the times Margarito fought them. Those guys had done nothing, but yeah they were alright wins. Berto, though not a world beater by any means, had at least a couple wins over Top 10 WW's like Collazo and Zaveck, and a couple ehhh wins over Quintana and Urango.

I'd take beating Berto over beating Lewis/Diaz/Cintron

All this is from Floyd fan boys is to hype up a Guerrero vs Floyd fight.

While true Hopkins is an ATG, lots of those mandatories weren't exactly great and the only great ones were freaking Welters but that's another thread.
Just saying Hopkins went on to do something at the weight, Sergio never did.

I don't even like Mayweather-Guerrero all that much, but it's a solid fight against a top ranked WW.

Berto had beaten Collazo and Zaveck, 2 Top 10 WW's when he did. Aydin was as legit a win for Guerrero as Diaz and Lewis were when Marg beat him, 2 of Marg's better wins prior to 2006. And Cintron in 2005 had done absolutely nothing. Berto's at least beaten a few Top 10 WW's before.

How the hell so? Cause he beat Forbes? Robbed Collazo. Oh I know why.....he beat a prime Quintana.

Tony circa 06 was a more elite WW than present Guerrero
if you can't see that, don't know WTF to tell you

All Diaz had done at 147 was get TKO'd by Mosley. Lewis won a vacant title against no name and than lost to Mayorga. Cintron had never fought a legit fight at that point in 2005.

Berto isn't a world beater. But I'd take ehhh wins over Quintana/Urango and wins over Top 10 WW's like Collazo (close fight) and Zaveck > losing to Mayorga and Mosley as your only legit fights at the weight.

I think you're misunderstanding me, I'm not saying Berto > Margarito.

I'm saying Berto > Diaz, Lewis, and Cintron in 2005.

I was just saying Margarito hadn't really had any more legit or good wins than Guerrero does right now. It's the truth. Margarito wouldn't have been career defining in 2006, neither would Guerrero in 2013. Both would be solid wins over top WW's though.

I've yet to hear someone explain how beating Antonio Diaz, Andrew Lewis, and Kermit Cintron prior to 2006 are such better wins than beating Selcuk Aydin and Andre Berto prior to 2013. They're about equal basically.

That's all, just saying Margarito sure as hell wouldn't have been career defining in 2006, it would have been solid win over a Top WW.

Then why did Floyd go on vacation, and it was just "luck" that he would come back right when Margarito lossed to Shane Mosley?

The man didn't want any part of Margarito, his win over Cotto kept him in retirement, and his loss against Mosley brought him back
