Before Late 2006, when Mayweather-Margarito was discussed, Margarito's notable wins at 147 were Diaz, Lewis, and Cintron. Guerrero's have been Aydin and Berto.

What had Margarito done that was so much more legit at that point than Guerrero so far???

I'm talking at the time of the fights possibly happening, we're not looking into the future here, with regard to Mayweather-Guerrero/Margarito.

In reference to Margarito beating Martinez and Jones beating Hopkins.....Hopkins went on to have an ATG career at MW. What did Sergio do at 147 in his career???

those guys weren't going anywhere near a fight with Tony

Either way Margarito still ****s all over Guerrero at that point. You do realize Berto was GIVEN a belt and didn't really do shit with it besides milking it ala DiBella way. Aydin seriously?

While true Hopkins is an ATG, lots of those mandatories weren't exactly great and the only great ones were freaking Welters but that's another thread.
