You right.. Berto showed incredible strength even in the late rounds, but it wasn't consistent, more like little spurts here and there. I'm not accusing Guerrero of nothing either I'm just saying that I don't put it past no fighter If OST's weren't performed on both fighters..

Great fight. Both fighters fought dirty. Ghost with the holding and low blows, and Berto with the holding and rabbit punches. Still, was a great fight. Both guys showed tremendous, tremendous heart. And both were fighting with bad intentions to win.
Feel pretty good about my pre-fight prediction, although Berto did prove me wrong with his conditioning this go round. He fought hard until the final bell. Just got outworked by Ghost, and also could not make up the deficit suffered in the first two rounds. FOTY is between this one and Rios/Alvarado for me at this point.Good post. I see this as a pick 'em fight, 100%. Both these guys have some strengths and both have some weaknesses. Guerrero lacks pop, but Berto has horrible stamina. Berto can pop, but Ghost has pretty solid whiskers. I am looking forward to it. I have found it nearly impossible to pick a winner although I lean towards Guerrero by UD, only because I don't see him being stopped in the early rounds, and fairing much better in the later rounds than Berto coming off a long layoff and having poor endurance anyway.

A lot of the hold up of Margarito/Williams was the promoters who had issues over who would promote the fight and money issues. But Margarito going straight to Cotto instead of Williams were one of the issues brought up. I just posted the paragraph but you can read the rest of the article for yourself.Actually Margarito wanted to fight Williams but was offered more money to take another fight..My point still stands..none of the others you mentioned would've retired rather than fight him as a mandatory..vacate a title yes but flat our retire..I don't see it happening. Also Mayweather wasn't with Al Haymon when it first was offered to him..either way this is a matter of opinions. I respect yours like you've respected mine.
When was a Paul Williams fight offered to Mayweather? Wasn't Mayweather with Al Haymon for a long time? For sure even longer than Williams. Haymon helped Mayweather get out of his contract with Top Rank so that is clearly before Williams so you are wrong on that matter. It's good that we can debate in a respectful manner.
Top Rank objected to the purse bid result because it didn't participate at the request of Margarito. It claimed that Margarito (34-4, 24 KOs) had agreed to fight for Miguel Cotto's version of the 147-pound title June 9 instead of facing Williams (32-0, 24 KOs), which is why Top Rank didn't take part in the purse bid. Top Rank sent out a media release Jan. 29 announcing that Margarito had agreed to the Cotto fight, a release it said Margarito approved.

I thought he was with al haymon all that time but it's not the case..actually one thing people ignore tho is that Arum had an agreement with Floyd to buy out the contract but Floyd was in theory still paying Arum for a while after their split. The contract with Arum wasn't officially satisfied in terms of buyout until september 2008/2009 (I don't remember exactly) but someone posted the filing paperwork for it which is how I found out myself.A lot of the hold up of Margarito/Williams was the promoters who had issues over who would promote the fight and money issues. Not if they make it answerable to the government they won't..I tell you this for sure..you let the feds get involved and USADA will not risk their business for an athlete on american soil..in other countries they'd get unlicensed here someone would go to jail.Comment
