These other guys get hyped up for beating some dude that has like 15 or 20 fights with losses on their records already or who has never fought out of their backyards.

I think you're overrating Martinez a little bit. He didn't look miles beyond Barker who busted his nose and he didn't look that great against Macklin. He whooped Chavez for almost the entire fight but in that last round he was like a deer in the headlights.
