I think you're overrating Martinez a little bit. He didn't look miles beyond Barker who busted his nose and he didn't look that great against Macklin. He whooped Chavez for almost the entire fight but in that last round he was like a deer in the headlights.

He's a legit P4P guy but let's not act like the other top MWs have no chance against him.

I'm not gonna tell you to kill yourself cause it's too harsh but do us a favor and log off the forum immediately.

The guy isn't losing, he is stopping guys or beating them to pulp, no amateur career, moved up in weight to beat bigger guys (despite what some of the posters here think). The guy has like one truly legit loss on his record out 55 fights....the Pwill fight he took on 2 weeks' notice and moved up in weight for the fight....a draw would have been a fair call for that fight.

Barker didn't have a single loss prior to the Martinez fight and I'd bet that he doesn't lose again either. Sergio wasn't pumped up for those fights because they weren't big names, we saw what Macklin was capable of against Sturm and even in his last fight- wiped the floor with that dude in under a round.

Given Martinez' background and his accomplishments, he is highly underrated, not overrated. His opponents' combined records over the last 2 years or so has to be the best of any boxer out there....the guy doesn't take easy fights.

I just call it like I see it, he is the real deal, built from hardwork, dedication, disappointment and determination. If any fighter out there can shed light as to how "old school" boxers got it done and why they are held in such a high regard, Sergio does it. He didn't have major networks behind him, he broke the network's will down and forced them to respect him.

He does what he says he will do and he does it in style......I'd bet on him against anyone at 160 to 147, hands down.

When things aren't fair to them, people are quick to complain; but they're not so quick to do so when it benefits them. We all do it to some degree. Humans aren't perfect. The problem comes when people make a habit of it.

Quillin should go after Macklin early next year, and than Pirog in the summer. Than he'd be in line for really big fights if he won those two fights.
I tend to agree with you. Golovkin concerns me. Pete still seems to be in the developing process.

noob? I had forgot more about boxing than you will ever know, and I'm not comparing the two boxers, only the situation, why should I compare the fighters?

Fights Konecny and says he's avoided
