Alvarado's jab wasn't even landing, it was more of a range finder for his right hook, which he had some success with. Alvarado outboxed him in spots, nothing more or less, I actually had the fight even up until the stoppage with Rios somewhat taking over but neither fighter having established themselves yet. Again, Alexander's response to getting clipped or hurt is to exchange, he's not the fine boxer that Abril is. At this point I don't know what to tell you man. Also, Devon doesn't always circle, he's known to back up with his chin in the air similar to Khan.

My question is how long will Rios be able to make 140 without compromising himself like he did against Murray and Abril?
I think he'll stay at 140 for as long as Arum has opponents for him. He'll move to 147 when the opportunity presents itself (i.e. Pacquiao). I'll give him the benefit of the doubt for his previous slip-ups. The problem is, Arum has a lackluster 140lb stable. I expect Rios vs. the winner of Pac/Marquez.

i have a hard time calling pro fighters bums but hes definatley nothing special and ovverated, but hes throw back balls to the wall so i give him credit... he will be destroyed WHEN HE FIGHTS THE RIGHT FIGHTER but im sure after the abril fight they will choose his fights wisley and his management and trainers ought to be ashamed of themselves for what they are doing with this kids weight

I agree with this 100 % maidana is closer to a bum than rios . Maidana almost got stopped by soto karass. Rios is a good fighter and has good wins over Acosta,Peterson, and now Alvarado. Is rios gonna beat pacquiao? Hell no lol

I don't see how people are putting him in the top 10...

Unless you beat a guy in the top 10 or you become the man in your division I don't see how you can be up there.

              Alexander is better than Abril.

Abril is tall and lanky, it was simply a very difficult style match-up for Rios. I think Rios would be able to get to Alexander at some point. Whether he would be effective or not is a different discussion. The Rios/Alexander clinch count would be off the charts lol

Hes not a tomato can. Hes not anywhere near world class either. He can take a punch and he can give it but thats about it. Nothing special. Nothing the sport hasn't seen before. He gets his ass kicked 2 fights ago then he beats Allvarado and now hes suppose to be rated high? Why?

WBO #1, IBF #3, Ring #8, Boxrec #9.....Mile High was a solid fight at a new weight-class. Rios can be considered Top 10 LWW after the victory.
