Rios is a good fighter but I don't rate him too highly either.

But, he is very tough, strong, punches hard, has a good chin and a strong will to win. He is a force and a top fighter at 140 atleast.

I do agree I thought Alvarado seemed to be a little overrated going into the Rios fight. But certainly a good win none the less.

      No chin Alvarado?

I swear, the people exaggerating and pretending people think Rios is an ATG now are really mad for some reason. The same people show up in every thread about Rios and say, "He went from a bum to a HOFer, ATG because of Alvarado?" when no one is saying anything remotely close to that.

For f***'s sake, get over yourselves.

Rios, while not great defensively is more responsible. It's too bad we're not gonna get the Matthysse fight....
Rios & margacheato have same style... go foward, throw lots of punches & get hit alot while at it. For god sakes the guy loves margacheato... watch...

No comparison at all, they do not fight the same. I also like how this gets forgotten, or how before the Abril fight he struggled with Murray, further proof that Rios should have moved up a long time ago.

Seriously man, watch boxing, that's all I can say, besides both being aggressive fighters there is a big distinction between the two which I've already pointed out.

Also Prescott beat Abril in a close fight.

Rios most likely beats Maidana but you never know Maidana can punch, but how you come to the conclusion that Rios def beats Devon is beyond me. What has Rios done thus far in his career to make anyone think he beats someone like Devon. He is a big kid, fast, and can box...I don't see it

I dont get you guys some times. Rios is a exciting fighter who is prepared to leave it in the ring. He comes to fight and give us a show. Which is what many people ask for when they watch boxing.

I am a huge Rios fan but it's very obvious that he will not be able to handle guys with movement that like to box instead of going toe to toe.
