bum is a bit harsh, but this is what iv been saying. do people forget the abril fight? obviously the fight last weekend was a cracker, but it was very low in technical skill, it was just two sluggers slugging it out.

rios is a poor mans ricky hatton.

Rios is good but he's too slow he can't handle fast skilled boxers

Why, because Abril has been rob three times now, or because he completely dominated Riost?

I wouldn't call him a bum but the MA fight was the sort of fights that he needs, They should stare him clear of boxers/movers because he would look like a lost child (Abril)..

He'll be forced to make some slight adjustments to his style if he wants to remain competitive throughout his career, but he's a decent fighter right now. He does pretty good for a guy who's considered to be limited.

I won't be able to appreciate anything about this dude. Perhaps since one of my all time favorite fighters is sweet pea. Anyway he may wise up and get a trainer that can make him whole doubtful but anything is possible I suppose. There's always MMA for him.

That's what in my opinion makes him not all that special. He's an okay fighter but he's not near world class or elite. A world class or elite boxer should not have to be steered clear of boxers/movers they should have a way to beat them, some sort of strategy. As it stands now, he's just an exciting fighter without much skill. This much is apparent. Is he a bum? Not really...is he great? No even close.

Not everybody can do the sweet science, as much as I appreciate that set of skills we also have the brawlers/sluggers, This is Bam Bam fightings style and at 26 he can't change now.... They should just run as soon as they see any fighter with any set of the sweet science.

If Brandon Rios was black people would be calling him a bum even if he beat Alvarado.

So now we can call Alvarado a bigger bum. A bum ducked by Gamboa and, afaik, Marquez. I'd rather root for bums than skilled ducks.

Posters in this site never cease to amaze me.
