So much talent put to waste if he doesnt stay at 122.Originally posted by jsfd26 View PostNo challenges huh? Lol... Move up please, Id love to see Salido spoil another Top Rank hype job.

Donaire will KO RIGO
Donaire will beat anyone put in front of him
Donaire would KO May jr if they were the same weight class

At this stage, Donaire is a boxer visible among the casual fans so good matchmaking is required for the long run. Donaire-Rigondeux might be great on paper yet doesn't seem to excite the casual mainstream fans.
Besides, i predict the fight, if ever it gets done, would be a snorefest. Rigondeux with his expansive experience in the amateur division would be reluctant to let his hands go. Eventually ending up with Donaire being the aggressor while Rigon content with being the tentative fighter. In the end, it would come to a decision that would favor Donaire because of activity..zzzz...
In all, Donaire just like the others before him will never leave the land of hatedom. Because there will always be a fighter out of obscurity that is better than him.
Originally posted by jtcs1981 View PostHe wants a straight forward fighter that he can KO easy. He wants a guy like Arce because it will work on his favor. He wants to build a fan base by beating guys with names. What he said about Rigo not being a challenge is another lame excuse. Skill wise Rigo is the best by far in that weight class and if Donaire cant see a challenge, he is delusional or straight ducking.

You're being too naive to think this isn't a marketable fight. You know how many casual fans would be exited to see "Nonito Donaire unification bout vs the best amateur fighter OF ALL TIME?" Showing clips of their respective KOs and flashy images making it seem like it's the fight of the century? Seriously man you can't defend Nonito here, what he said was all wrong. He could have just said he was willing to fight anyone they put in front of him.
Originally posted by titan_1987 View PostYes. I still stand that Donaire- Rigon is NOT a marketable fight. Just like with Mathebula and Narvaez. Fights that were made only to stay relevant.
Originally posted by JeromyM View PostI don't think Rigondeaux is that great. Marroquin had him hurt. Donaire would KO him. No doubt in my mind.
Originally posted by TOBYLEE1 View PostThere are a few challenges at 122 lb. The winner of Mares/Moreno would be the obvious choice.
I'm not sold on Rigo, he could easily stink up the place once he gets hit and goes on the defensive mode which is more than likely that he would do. Plus he has done the least of the other guys but he has only 11 fights. Need to see more of him
At FW you got Salido, Caballero, John, PDL, Mikey Garcia, Dib, Arce, Gonzalez, Lopez, Hosono...a bunch of fighters that he can make money with. Other than Mares the bigger money is up in FW

Arce is a garbage but a more sellable fight than Rigo for sure. The thing is Donaire is not getting any younger he will be 30 next year so short of a time to make money and fame for him

Donaire is not getting any younger and he does not need all of your dumb arguments about ducking rigo or mares, coz believe me they don't promise paycheck for donaire than Gamboa and the other weight class promises! Haters always gonna hate. Why not ask floyd to fight **** than ask donaire to fight unproven fighters whos biggest win is against cordoba!!

Just fight Arce while Rigo fights Agbeko or Darchinyan. If Rigo looks good and the demand for the fight gets even bigger then set up Donaire/Rigo for summer 2013. Forget about Mares/Moreno, this **** ain't happening.

Rigo not letting his hands go? Why do they call him The Jackal then - for biting dudes? That's some BS right there.....
Duck, duck, duck, GOOSE!
Yes, this is a fight that can & should be made. But Slob Arum won't make it happen....
GTFOH with that, seriously. So an unification fight is just to stay relevant? Well, then he needs to fight Rigo then - he has a belt.....
Yeah, so then why doesn't Donaire make the fight if Rigo isn't that great then and will knock him out, no doubt?
11 fights and a champion. Since you brought up the "defensive mode", hasn't that been the case with Donaire's fights recently? What happened to cleaning out the division? And if he moves to 126, he will catch it, trust me, so what are you really trying to say?
I just can't access Rigo that much cause I haven't seen a lot of him, it is impressive that with 11 fights he has gotten this far but I still have to see more. Trust me if a Rigo/Donaire fight happens I'll be watching.
IMO true threats to Nonito is going to be at the higher weights

So, when he gets called out, it's hating? Save that shhhhh....
