Comments Thread For: Donaire: If No Challenges at 122, I'll Move Up To 126

For the first time in a while, Nonito Donaire seemed to feel 100% within himself during his 9th round dissection of former champion Toshiaki Nishioka inside of the Home Depot Center in Carson, California on Saturday night.

In an HBO-televised attraction, the 29-year old Donaire overcame a listless effort from his Japanese foe early on before dropping him with a left uppercut in the sixth round while ending matters three rounds later following another knockdown, this one coming from a brisk counter right hand.

Donaire I respect you, you're truly a P4P fighter but there's still challenges at 122. Mares/Moreno winner. Santa Cruz Jhonatan Romero. Finally there's Rigondauex also. It's the absolute most stacked division right now. No need to move up unless you plan to right Russell JR. That'll be a good fight too.

He has to fight the Mares/Moreno winner. He has to. If he doesn't, it will really lessen my opinion of him. And if not that, at least fight either Rigo or Santa Cruz.

So hes not motivated enough take on rigondeaux which would also mean another title but he was motivated to go to the gym and train for mathebula. Nonito is the best in the division tons of people would want to challenge him so idk why he would say he wants to move up to 126 if no one challenges him. So much talent put to waste if he doesnt stay at 122.
