why would they be above rigo right now?

rigo has beaten 2 top 10 fighters(#2 #6), doesn't sound that good until...

vasquez beat 0 top 10 fighters
    matheluba beat 1 top 10(#5)
even the greatest of all time nishioka only beat 2 top 10 fighters(#8, #10)
Ramos was ranked #2 when Rigo beat him? People simply don't think much of Rico, so that victory gets overlooked a lot.

I wont and refuse to ride his nuts just because he had a good amateur background
Your idols master Freddie Roach called Rigondeaux the best fighter he has ever trained.

You are missing that Rigo already beat #2.

High praise indeed. Donaire just took out the guy many people considered #1. Nonito also boasts the more impressive overall resume. I want to see Rigo at the very top. I just don't think his achievements support it.

Not sure, he is like Bute to me. He has not faced anyone of note to even say he can take a shot. As you go up, guys are faster, have better timing, more durable and more powerful. Rigo does need to face some top guys to see where he is at.

Rigo is fast, powerful and has good reflexes, but there a big difference on what you can do with the best in the division to OK fighters. Rigo hasn't got his chin checked by someone like Donaire who clearly has power.

#2 is fair. Rigo passes the eye test but I want to see a step up in competition in his next 2-3 fights. The time is now.

I didn't consider Nishioka a threat based on his age, his last performances, and the long layoff. I was proven right.
