@ Andre Ward almost surpassing Floyd Mayweather.

Yeah, maybe when they were the same age. Maybe.

They are all time greats, but they both could have ranked higher if they would have just made the right decisions. Pacquiao just needed to accept the terms back in 2010 like he is now. Now he has aged and has slowed. He can't give Mayweather the fight he could 2 or 3 years ago. If he would have just fought Mayweather and beat him, or even give him life and death, Pacquiao would be top 10 in my book no doubt. Floyd should have done more, much more than what Pac had to to. Floyd avoided Margarito and Cotto earlier in their careers and took his ****** 2 year vacation, FOR THE FUN OF IT!!! He could have easily beaten (IMO) all those fighters he stayed away from. Even if he fights and beats Pacquiao now, its less meaningful. Both guys are outstanding fighters, but their stubbornness or fears of losing, really made the difference in their all time ratings. You have to do what the old ATG's did to be ranked highly above them, but these guys were more interested in avoiding certain fights and not answering questions directly. You ask them a tough question, and there answer is something that had very little to do with the question. That's shady.

Ali, Duran, Robinson, Hagler, Leonard, and even Chavez Sr were ring legends. They are boxing gods. Manny and Floyd are in an era were that is not possible for them. Its more about business now and know pride is involved. How can someone say they are the best and not fight the guy in the same weight division that others claim is the best? That's not a legend. Manny and Floyd are both hall of famers without question. Its the same with me with Roy Jones. He's a hall of famer, but never fought the necessary fights or put up a classic battle for all to remember.I think that 2 prime hall of famers need to face each other in a classical war to shoot them to that lengendary status. Well, to be honst, Manny has fought wars against hall of famers. To really give it some thought, Manny truly does have a legendary resume, but I can't put him in that catagory until he fights Floyd. So...Manny is borderline legend/All time Great, Floyd is a hall of famer. I still think Floyd wins if they fight though.

As boxing forum posters, our opinion means nothing because of our hidden agenda to our favourite fighter. only historians will be remembered on how they viewed both pac and may during their times. 20 or 50 years from now they will highly regarded (nostalgia).

may is one of the best technical fighters weve ever seen...best defensive fighter..

pac is an offensive juggernaut who's run from flyweight to welter will never be duplicated in the next 30 or 50 years or never....
