Do you HONESTLY consider Pacquiao and Mayweather "Greats"

To go alongside such names as Ali, Robinson, Duran, Hagler, Leanord, Hearns etc?

    I don't.

Neither of them has truly set out to achieve greatness, neither of them has taken the biggest tests, fighting their biggest rivals in their PRIMES.

When it comes down to skills, a limited fighter like Miguel Cotto or even Ricky Hatton were able to put HANDS on Floyd, can you imagine what a prime Thomas Hearns would have done to him?

And Pacquiao, it's the same damn thing, both these guys fighting well over the hill, limited, lame fighters like Margarito, Mosley, etc.

I do think these guys will retire as in the top 100 but it's way in the back end of the top 100.

For me, they are not true "Greats" they haven't earned it, and probably never will

ofcourse they dont belong alongside guys like ali, robinson, duran etc. but how many fighters do? they are still great, mayweather in particular. just not as great as the very best who ever did it. no shame in that.

        No.

They are indistinguishable in terms of achievement, and neither are even REMOTELY near the top tier

They are both the greatest of this era but we are in an era of cherry picking with the best fighters avoiding eachother.

Were you actually around and watching boxing when these guys were fighting?

They are among the top 100 fighters to ever lace them up. In any other sport that makes them great. How could they not be great? Because they can't compare to the top 10 or 20?
