and? who did they beat was what i asked.

your quick to discredit marquez due to his opponents, yet martinez last 3 fights havent been against top opponents have they?!

how many times did ricky hatton defend his lineal title? i didnt see him up at the top for that!

also, bradley DID NOT clear out 140, he avoided the then number 1 contender in amir khan!!! and get real, he didnt beat pacquiao.

Macklin is a lot better than you give him credit for. If he didn't get jobbed in Germany he would be the super champion. Chavez isn't great but I don't see anyone else on the list that's willing to fight someone 30 pound heavier than they are. Manny for example won't even go up a couple pounds.

smh at this joke of a list. Pacquiao at number 2 had me spitting my coffee, thanks for the laugh!

Are you for real? Pac has titles in 7 weight classes. You realize that involved moving up? A record number of times? Martinez has titles in 2 divisions, if you count the vacant interim belt he won against Bunema. Chavez barely got by bum Zbik with a huge weight advantage. Macklin habitually struggled with sub Euro level bums

IMO it should be based on what a fighter has accomplished in the last 1-2 years. Thats why my p4p list looks like this:
              1) Ward (cleaned out 168 with Bute as the exception but Froch messed that up).
              2) Martinez (except for fighting Golovkin and Pirog, he has been busy fighting the best at 160)
              3) Wladimir (destroys everyone, is not rated higher because of the division)
              4) Mayweather/Pacquiao ( Mayweather: I dont count the Ortiz fight, so really he has only beat a game Cotto recently, but his skills are still the best. Pacquiao: I think he lost to Marquez but came back against Bradley, the top guy at 140).
              5) Marquez (up here cause he beat Pacquiao but his opposition and inactivity hurt him).

Why isn't Chavez Jr. on the list? After all he did have 40 straight wins with no losses! Hahaha.....Lol! Ward should not be no.1, look at some of the Euro fighters he fought. Those Euro fighters are just a stepping stone for American fighters. Pac should be no.1 for his accomplishments.

Andre Ward should not be number 1. Ward is overrated. He's good, but the boxing world is going overboard with this guy.

I liked BoxingScene's reasoning for Manny Pacquiao.

"We don't like the decision, so we're going to ignore it"
