Ramos was a good amateur, an undefeated 20-0, top 10 ranked world champion by the time he was 24 that held some solid wins going into that fight.

Its a combination of height, size, weight & reach.

Huge difference & even more so in the lower weights.

In fact fcuk it, you're right lets just scrap the weight divisions & have done with it.

When you've got guys like Donaire with 5" in height, 6-8" reach and 15-20lb fight night weight advantages, why bother?
Or why don't the punk just go where he belongs and fight someone his own size at lightweight? Apart from the obvious fact being he wouldn't last two minutes.

I need a link for Donaire fight night weights. The only one I remember had Montiel outweighing him by 2+ classes fight night.

Absolute rubbish. I suppose Narvarez outweighed him by two divisions as well?

Look at Vazquez Jr, he towered him showing he is really at least 5ft7½, Vazquez Jr is shredded giving the impression he is larger than 122 and hes naturally a fairly squat guy. Donaire absolutely dwarfed him!

P-Will & Hearns only had height advantages they didn't rehydrate massive amounts & they didn't pick on guys 4-5 weight divisions smaller & lighter than themselves and weights make less difference further up in the higher weights.
They was gangly, naturally skinny with zero fat on them giving the impression they was even taller than they was. Also both went up and beat guys as big & even bigger than themselves, Hearns went all the way upto cruiserweight and was still knocking guys dead.

And I just explained that Donaire faced 2 top 10 p4pers, per Ring mag. PWill faced 1, who only became top 10 for beating PWill himself.
