It's not really the same level of comp. Donaire hasn't fought decent prospects/fringe guys like Casey, Kennedy, Marroquin forever, probably since before Vic. Rigo's most legit opponent was Cordoba almost 2 years ago, coming off a KO loss to Euro level Dunne. And Rigo looked bad in that one.

Don't get me wrong, Rigo's comp is fantastic for a guy with 11 fights, not so good for a guy challenging p4pers

But at the same time like you said Donaire is P4P material so why is he fighting the Vasquez and Mathebula's? Both are fighting opponents that shouldn't give them much problems and both are looking more and more ordinary.

Vazquez and Mathebula = former and current titlist, both top 10 ranked. Donaire moving up to his 4th weightclass. I'd say beating Vazquez in your first fight at 122 >> Mares winning his 2nd title at 120 catchweight against old bantam Morel. Probably better than most guys' first fight in their 4th weightclass, for example Floyd Sharmba

You really rate Vasquez that high? The same Vasquez that couldn't get past poor little Arce? The same Arce that if he fights Donaire is gonna get eating alive? And why are they even mentioning Arce as and opponent seriously? Common dude Vasquez is good but nothing Donaire couldn't handle. Now tell me when both where going up to 122 who fought the tougher opposition Donaire or Mares. Mares fought Vic, Agbeko, Perez back to back. Donaire's toughest opponent was Montiel.
And for the record I don't even know why where talking about Mares here

Yeah but Rigo was rocked by a contender, and has gone down before that. you guys might not like it, but i think Donaire KO's Rigo, he's just as fast and can hit a few division above, might take him a while but Donaire will get to him.

Rigondeaux makes every fighter look garbage. Its why people obsess over any grain of success anybody has against him.

Ramos also just bounced back with a win over a highly regarded, undefeated American prospect.

Ramos was a good amateur, an undefeated 20-0, top 10 ranked world champion by the time he was 24 that held some solid wins going into that fight.

In all fariness to Donaire, he supposedly injured his hand in the Vasquez fight. However, the fact that he's coming out of his fights marked up is not a good sign. I know, this is boxing, but a guy rated so highly should have better/more responsible defense.
