When you come down in weight from another weight class your suppose to do it slow so you can have time to recover from the strenuous act .Tarver was fine after the Hopkins fight cause he took time to recover from the making the weight after the Hopkins fight Tarver did`nt just jump right away to another fight.Plus Tarver is natural at Light Heavyweight its just that he came down to fast to light heavyweight.Dawson on the other hand outgrew super-middleweight a long time ago.
No dude he said he had no problem making weight so did his s&c coach. It may have sapped some of his energy but you can't say it cost him the fight. Maybe if it was close. At 175 he may have survived but maybe he would have opened up more and got KTFO quicker to. He would of lost either way and weight is an excuse bottom line. Just like Tarver being poisoned. It's the human condition to look for excuses.

Oh so now you admit the weight had an effect.Like they say pressure bust pipes. And you don`t know if Ward would have beaten Chad at light-Heavy cause you never seen them fight at light-heavy.Ward obviously new fighting at light-heavy would be a risk so he did`nt even go there or go for a catch-weight which would have been healthier for Dawson.

I'm not saying Ward woulds have lost at all. I'm saying that if Dawson & Ward fought without Dawson losing 7 damn lb's that he's have lost a closer decision. Do you get that?? I just didn't expect Dawson to be thoroughly dominated & stopped like he was. So I do believe the weight played a part in that. How much?? I do not know.
I don't agree I told you why..Dawson already showed he does not have the best punch resistance when faced with a fresh young fighter..Does not matter the weight..Ward(imo)has always shown he has had pop..Not scoring Knockouts don't mean you do not have power...Ward was just able to land on target consistently imo...

OK if that makes you feel better keep believing it. We'll see how Chads career turns out from here. Pascal is waiting.

Not to mention Ward would have more power at 175 and probably stop him sooner

When you're a fighter you believe your body can handle it, but once that reality hits there's NOTHING you can do. NOTHING. His body couldn't react to anything. He had no energy in his legs he couldn't move a tall. Don't you remeber when RJJ shed that weight to fight Tarver? He had no elgs at all. He put himself on the ropes rd.1
Dawson looked fresh bro, nothing like what Roy looked like..I also believe Roy got caught slipping..But that's an argument for another day...

Bottom line Dawson signed the contract he knew as a pro what he had to do and the work it would take...I don't accept these kinda of Prep excuses from pros bro..Sorry..

But what I will point out is Dawson never took punches well..Drop by Adamek, rock a bunch of times by Pascal, and stopped by Ward..Do you know what all three of these fighters had in common that most of Chads other opponents did'int??They were young fresh fighters, all I seen last night was a trend continuing...

It's not about Wards one punch power..It's about Dawson having poor punch resistance and Ward being consistent...Ward broke Dawson down mentally and physically...Not just power..

Yeah you told me why you believe weight had no bearing & I told you why I believe it did.
